Sample traditional Devon cider in one of the traditional inns of the surrounding villages including Buckland Brewer (3 miles) and Parkham (5 miles). The beautiful beaches of the North Devon coastline are within easy reach with Westward Ho! (9.5 miles) a short drive away where you can book a group surf lesson, practise your putt at the crazy golf course and feel the need for speed on the go-kart track.

Greet your guests in the welcoming hallway of your traditional stone farmhouse where there is plenty of space for hugs and handshakes. The open-plan interior is bright and spacious with plenty of character from the exposed stone walls and ceiling beams. Cook up a storm in the colourful kitchen where you will find everything you need to prepare delicious dinners for sharing around the large dining table. After your evening meal, sink into one of the sumptuous sofas and relax in front of the cosy wood burner. Head to Bideford (7 miles) where you can hire a fleet of bicycles and pedal out along the Tarka Trail, kayak your way along the River Torridge or board the MS Oldenburg for a day trip to tranquil Lundy Island. Along the coast is the quaint fishing village of Appledore (11 miles) with its host of pubs and restaurants serving local produce. From Appledore, catch the passenger ferry across the estuary to stroll along the sand dunes at Instow Beach (11 miles). Travelling inland, discover the diverse flora and fauna of RHS Rosemoor (7 miles), including the vibrant colours of the Hot Garden and the fragrant aromas of the Mediterranean Garden. Have a fun-filled day out at The Milky Way Adventure Park (10 miles) with its exciting rides for all ages, indoor play centre and breathtaking birds of prey displays.

We had a great stay at Knaworthy. The house is very well equipped cooking wise, the best we have stayed in! Despite the bad weather which meant we could not do as much in the surrounding area, we had no problem entertaining ourselves & the children with all the facilities that were in the property. We all enjoyed the skittles & the table football iRead moren the barn plus the pool table & air hockey in the games room. The children loved feeding the ponies, a highlight for them. We were a party of 10, 8 adults and 2 young children, staying in February, and we all loved it. We made lots of use of the games rooms and the tennis court. The barn is very spacious, comfortable and was lovely and warm and fantastic to come back to after our days out. The kitchen is very well equipped so easy to cook. The barn is very comfortable and cosy and was spotlessly clean. It works well as holiday accommodation for a group of combined families. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, herbs etc making self catering much easier. The games room and play area and access to the fields and woods make this a delightful place to stay.

This is a really fabulous holiday cottage for 10 people. The quality of all facilities and amenities in the cottage/ barn was first class. This cottage is in lovely grounds. The barn is really well maintained and so well stocked with everything you might need. Very clean. The games rooms and tennis courts were fantastic and the kids never got bored. The ponies were an added bonus! 3 generations of us had a great holiday.

We stayed in this beautiful house during the Easter holidays. Large and spacious with lots of surrounding areas to explore, set in a beautiful part of Devon. The owners were very accommodating and provided us with lots of equipment, games/activities, information etc. We really enjoyed our holiday and would definitely recommend a stay at Knaworthy.

We would highly recommend Knaworthy barn! The owners have thought of everything, a real home from home. We were 4 generations staying here, and as the weather wasn't the best we made good use of the games room, barn and tennis court. Only a short ride to the coast too. Highly recommended!
