Sleeping ten in five bedrooms (one in a charming separate lodge), this five-star destination has so much to offer, whether you’re a group of friends or an extended family. Swim in the heated outdoor pool, soak in the hot tub or challenge each other to a table-football championship - this is a one-of-a-kind getaway for all seasons, surrounded by peaceful countryside and with plenty to see and do nearby.

This fabulous home-away-from-home is split into two properties: a cottage sleeping eight and a single-storey lodge that sleeps two. Both are spacious, bright and luxurious, with high-quality furnishings and decorated in pale tones for a calm atmosphere. In the cottage, the light-filled kitchen boasts an electric Aga and a breakfast table for six, while for formal meals together it has an elegant dining room with a wood burner, providing all the atmosphere for celebratory occasions. After supper, gather round the open fire in the lounge, streaming a movie on the Smart TV or snuggling up with a book in the open-plan seating area to the side. Energetic types might head to the games room for a few rounds of table football, followed by a drink in the bar area. The cottage’s four bedrooms are all upstairs, including a gorgeous super-king-size room with an apex roof and an en-suite shower room. The three king-size bedrooms share a family bathroom with a roll-top bath, as well as a separate WC. There’s also a shower room with WC on the ground floor of the cottage, perfect for a rinse after swimming in the pool. Across at the lodge, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a Smart TV, is complemented by a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The garden is huge and has lovely views and a choice of places to dine and lounge in the sunshine. The pool is available from May to September and the wooden hot tub is yours to enjoy all year round.

Everyone falls in love with the New Forest. Its ancient woodland, open moors and heathland are roamed by wild ponies, cattle, donkeys and deer - some of which you’ll undoubtedly spot from your garden (don’t worry, there’s a cattle grid to keep them out). You can walk or cycle straight into the forest and explore its network of footpaths and bridleways to your heart’s content. Pretty villages with traditional pubs are dotted all around, while if you feel like some shopping or a day at the coast, Bournemouth is only 11.5 miles. For a family day out, the Adventure Wonderland theme park is 7.5 miles, while Peppa Pig World is 17.5 miles.

Lovely property in an excellent location, near to such a wide breadth of activities. Unfortunately, it appeared to us that it hadnt seen any work or upkeep or tlc since last summer.

Very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Loved the big beds, open fire and hot tub. The games room was a brilliant extra too. Also really liked the under floor heating in the kitchen. We never quite learnt the art of the aga though! Beautiful location with lots to do locally.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ashdale Cottage. The house was beautiful, clean and had all the necessary equipment for a lovely holiday with friends. Definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful location. We really enjoyed our stay. If you have dogs, the gate is VERY difficult to open and close - but the property is secure otherwise. The jacuzzi is nice but old and needs updating. A wonderful cottage for a brilliant family holiday. We didnt have the best weather but it didnt matter with the heated pool, hot tub and games room. The house is well equipped and beautifully furnished. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back next year.

Had a fabulous multi generational holiday. Swimming pool and hot tub were used every day. House had plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. Garden was peaceful and spacious, lots of seating areas. We could walk onto the forest from opposite the front gate to see the ponies and countryside. WiFi was good, had to go in the garden to make a call Read morethough. We ate outside at the large table, only one meal indoors at the big kitchen table. We had a lovely break. Fabulous location right on the edge of the National Park with direct access over the lane. Perfect for dog walking and pony spotting.
