You’ll feel at home from the moment you step through the doors with the property’s family friendly atmosphere and sleek, contemporary finishes that seamlessly blend with the features of the former village hall. Situated in a truly beautiful part of the UK, you can enjoy an invigorating walk around the coast of the Cartmel Peninsula (3.5 miles) before heading back to the village of Cartmel for a treat at one of the fine eateries.

Filled with cool, calming tones, this property is a perfect place for families in search of a place to relax and enjoy quality time with one another. The open-plan kitchen/living room/dining area is full of character, with an apex roof, an exposed stone wall and a charming wood burner, surrounded by sumptuous sofas where you can all gather around to share stories and make plans for the days ahead. With warm wooden floors throughout, contrasting against the white walls, the hall remains bright and airy at all times of the year, thoughtfully furnished with rustic items to create a cosy environment. A smaller second living room space offers a more intimate setting, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a gas fire for warmth. What’s more, you can throw open the patio doors and head out onto the seating area, or simply enjoy the flow of fresh air through the doorway. Two bedrooms lie on the first floor whilst the remainder can be found up the grand oak staircase, all enjoying modern styling and neutral colours. Outside, the private patio area is an idyllic area in which to unwind when the sun is shining, complete with seating for all and a BBQ.

You could not ask for better hosts - sadly our Mum took seriously ill and when we asked if we could pay for an extra night (as Mum couldn't travel) Paul unhesitatingly told us we could stay without charge. She was later admitted to hospital. His kindness and generosity was so heartwarming. The house itself is lovely and well equipped, it was perfecRead moret for the 7 of us and our two dogs. Hide
