A spacious country abode set in a peaceful location near the historic village of Cartmel and ideally positioned for adventures along the glistening Cumbrian coast. Sleeping eight guests across four rooms (plus room for a couple of furry companions), this elegant hideaway is a wonderful base for marking your special occasion in style. Real ale fanatics, wine connoisseurs, and cheese lovers alike are sure to appreciate a leisurely afternoon spent touring the microbrewery in Cartmel (2 miles) before raiding the shop for a bag of clinking souvenirs. Crack open those locally sourced tipples, then get dinner sizzling on the BBQ in the sprawling enclosed garden for a balmy al fresco feast.

This beautifully presented property blends traditional style and contemporary flair. Picture whitewashed wooden beams, stone detailing, and opulent dark leather textures. Kick off shoes at the door then pad into the lounge. In colder months, crank up the wood burner and sink onto the large, padded sofas for a long-overdue catch-up with old friends, or fire up the Smart TV. For a moment of peace, curl up in the snug next to the wood burner and delve back into your holiday read. Follow the drifting scent of home cooking to the open-plan kitchen/diner, flooded with natural light from the Velux windows. There is also a handy utility space with a feature Aga, with plenty of space to cook up a storm. Assist the resident chef with prep in the crisp shaker kitchen or play bartender and whip up a selection of refreshing aperitifs on the glossy stone worktops. Adorn the wooden dining table with a selection of indulgent dishes then sit back on the stylish high-backed chairs and raise of glass of bubbly. Full of good food and laughter, retire upstairs to the tranquil sleeping areas, consisting of two kings and two doubles, each styled with bright linens and crisp white decor. With two shower rooms and a bathroom, morning routines will be a breeze. Sip your morning coffee in the enclosed front garden while the dogs roam free, or gather on the rear patio for evening festivities.

The cottage was great, well equipped and very comfortable. On arrival, a hamper was left for us, which was very much appreciated. It was a short drive to the southern lakes and we had lovely walk into nearby Cartmel. The local pub was short walk, very friendly and food great

Lovely clean cottage, very spacious and freshly decorated, very comfortable beds and a distant sea view from front bedrooms. Well situated for local sights and attractions. Can walk the short distance to pheasant Inn with care as no pavement.
