The picturesque glazed front porch leads you through into this charming and thoughtfully updated lodge and through to the spacious lounge. This is a fantastic space to gather around the open fire, sink into the comfortable sofas and watch a favourite movie on the Smart TV. Exploring further, the stylishly arranged kitchen/diner is a fabulous space for getting together to prepare and share all your favourite meals, and features a main dining area as well as a handy additional breakfast bar. The ground floor also offers a conservatory, making a pleasant spot for enjoying the views over the garden or for catching up with a good book. The first of the property’s four delightful bedrooms is on the ground floor – a king-size room, along with a convenient shower room. Step straight out from the house to follow walks beside the water and through the forest. Find routes that are idyllic for those who also enjoy birdwatching and mountain biking and that vary in length. Try a short, circular walk of 1.5 miles to Bohally Wood and back, or hike 11 miles all the way to Faskally Forest.

Venture 6.5 miles from your base, alongside Loch Tummel to reach the Queen’s View, one of Scotland’s best-known viewpoints. Here there are panoramic views out west towards the peaks of Schiehallion and across Rannoch Moor, as well as out over serene Loch Tummel. Find a tea room and gift shop here, as well as lots of information on walks and trails in the area.

Kinloch Rannoch, at the eastern tip of picturesque Loch Rannoch, is 6 miles away and a great place to pause for refreshment if you decide to climb Schiehallion or walk through the Black Wood of Rannoch. Kenmore is 11.5 miles away and sits on the banks of Loch Tay. Hire a day boat here and take yourselves out on the water to enjoy the scenery or to fish.

Head into vibrant Pitlochry to dine out and browse in the shops. The small market town of Aberfeldy, 13.5 miles away, is also a colourful destination and known for its distillery where you can see how Scottish whisky is made.

We had a wonderful family holiday at White lodge over Easter. The house was beautiful and the large garden perfect for the children to play. White lodge is situated well with lots of places to visit less than an hours drive away. The house is comfortable and all the rooms very spacious. We would definitely highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely wonderful home. The house and garden are absolutely perfect. A lovely homely character with a modern twist. The lounge was comfortable for the 8 of us. The cottage was perfect, we had a great seven day holiday break here. Lovely grounds, so peaceful, view of the river Tummel from the garden. We loved our stay here.

this is a lovely spacious house that is very clean and well equipped. the garden was enclosed and private and the sound of the river was lovely. It is in a quiet spot so you would need a car really but we really enjoyed the house. thanks.

Fabulous cottage, so comfortable and had everything you would want. Comfy beds and beautiful appointed bathrooms. Beautiful and very large secure garden. Had a wonderful short stay at this lovely house. It is extremely well appointed and the extensive grounds were a boon for the children 12, 10 and 8, although they were well warned about the river over the garden wall, We had lots of space for archery competitions between grown ups and children. Fantastic spacious cottage. Our friends who were visiting us from Hong Kong loved this thoughtfully designed and equipped holiday home. Its right on the bank of River Tummel. Cottage had all that we needed. Logs for wood fire place was missing but were arranged promptly by the owner. This is a beautiful, comfortable and spacious home from home. It's in a very private and quiet setting and is well equipped for a special stay. The kitchen is beautiful, the main lounge so relaxing, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. There's a huge, mainly enclosed, garden which gave our dogs a safe space to run around.
