This spacious rural retreat is located in the beautiful village of Upper Lambourn on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border and is perfect for friends and family coming together for any occasion.

This is a quaint cottage, set in one of Berkshire’s prettiest parts. Its flexible sleeping accommodation, fitting ten people in five bedrooms, means it’s ideal for a large group looking to get together - whatever the reason. The vast garden is perfect for play times and strolls and the charcoal BBQ will keep any budding chef happy. With plenty to do in the nearby countryside, as well as in the town of Upper Lambourn, many different tastes are catered for here.

You’ll find that, from the moment you enter the property, you feel right at home. The entrance hallway is large, with a study just off it where you can either work or watch TV away from your wider group. The hallway also leads to a handy cloakroom and a WC, so you can keep any muddy outerwear stowed away without trudging them through the house. Once you go into the heart of the cottage, you’ll find a spacious lounge that features a wonderful fireplace set within an inglenook. It gives the room character, while the windows look out onto the property’s pretty garden. The kitchen has everything you should need to cater for your larger-than-average group, with a separate pantry for housing away all the ingredients you should need. A washer and dryer can also be found here too. You can eat meals in the formal dining room which has room enough for every guest. When you head upstairs, there are three bedrooms. One is a king-size room, with its own Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom. There are another two double bedrooms on this floor and a shared bathroom. The final two bedrooms can be found in a separate cottage in the garden. It has a king-size zip-and-link bed in one room, and a bunk bed in another. It’s perfect for families who want their own space. The cottage has its own bathroom too. The surrounding countryside can be seen from all around the garden, which has plenty of seating plus a BBQ for dinners cooked outdoors when the weather allows.

The property is based in the village of Upper Lambourn, which enjoys a fantastic location thanks to being in what is known as ‘The Valley of The Racehorse’. This is due to the number of horses trained in the area, but it also means that there are plenty of pretty walks to be had down footpaths, bridleways and quiet country roads. Upper Lambourn is just a mile away and has everything you need for your trip - a supermarket and a choice of pubs. Wantage is just a 7-mile drive away, and Oxford is a great, historical day out and only 20 miles away.
