Stay in a wing of this striking country house, with daily access included to spectacular Himalayan gardens, a shared pool and a tennis court. A truly unique choice and ideal for a relaxing break.
For a break surrounded by beautiful plant life and blissful countryside, this large family-friendly property is a fantastic choice, sleeping eight guests over four rooms and welcoming up to three dogs. Boasting an idyllic location within Minterne House, the first-floor apartment has a cosy feel, with daily access to the gorgeous 27 acres of wild woodland gardens between 10am and 6pm each day, as well as a designated slot to use the pool in privacy each day. The village of Minterne Magna itself is truly awe-inspiring, with a worthwhile walk up to High Stoy Hill where you’ll be rewarded with some of the best panoramic views in the area looking over the Bristol Channel on a clear day.
With a style that’s in keeping with the historic nature of the property, there are several characterful items throughout the property which ensure it retains much of its original charm. The kitchen/diner is the social hub of the house, featuring a grand table for eight and plenty of space to whip up a family feast come morning, noon or night. If you wish to take the night off cooking, a chef can be arranged prior to arrival to allow you to relax and enjoy the company of your guests and indulge in freshly prepared delights. After dinner, sink into one of the three sumptuous sofas in the lounge to relax beside the open fire and watch a film or play a board game before the evening's end. Each of the four bedrooms enjoys a neutral colour scheme for a restful night’s sleep, all of which feature zip-and-link beds offering flexibility between king-size beds and twins. With so much to offer on-site, you could easily entertain the family for a full week, so off-road parking for up to four cars ensures you needn’t worry during your stay, and the local shops and pubs can be found just 2 miles away.
