If you’re in need of a getaway by the stunning Scottish coast, with a large group of friends or family, this cottage will easily answer all your needs. With four bedrooms that fit up to eight people, it’s a real home-from-home with plenty of finishing touches that will undoubtedly make it the backdrop for a memorable holiday. The views are a real selling point, with both the garden and many of the property’s rooms enjoying sights of the Moray Firth coast. Plus, the location provides all guests, no matter their age, with something to do, from golf to sandcastle building.

While a period property, this cottage has been brought up to date as its open-plan lounge/diner help make a great sociable space for a big group. There are plump settees here to sit back and relax on while watching TV, and a wood burner to take the chill off when required. The dining table is large enough for all guests, so it’s bound to be where everyone gathers for big feasts. The kitchen has a stylish island which also comes with seating for more informal mealtimes. Crucially, it has everything you need to easily rustle up meals for everyone on a big group getaway. The ground floor is also home to a king-size bedroom which has use of the family bathroom on this level. Up the stairs is a sunroom which is the ideal place to make use of the property’s location; the views from here are sublime. Up another flight of stairs, you come to the final three bedrooms. They vary in size, with one being a twin, one a king-size and a super-king-size room which has a desk should you need to work on your holiday. These rooms have use of the shower room on this floor.

Findochty, the village in which this house is situated, is a peaceful place to stay, and it’s close to the natural harbour known as Crooked Haven. There, you’ll also find many shops for your convenience, plus a pretty beach. It’s easy to take a walk around the area, soaking in the serene atmosphere and watching the boats - something that will undoubtedly keep children happy. Plus, the Moray Firth coastline is home to several other beaches, which you can walk, drive or cycle to. For days on the water, you could head to Banff (17 miles) which has several water sports on offer as well as boat tours. Golfers can make use of Strathlene Golf Course, which is under 2 miles away, while whisky lovers will enjoy going on the Malt Whisky Trail, with Strathisla Distillery being the closest port of call (16 miles).

Fantastic place to stay for a few days over Hogmanay. The location is beautiful, only 2 miles walk to Portknockie and Bow-Fiddle rock, and not far from good shops in Buckie. The house itself is well kept and has fantastic amenities, the log burner was much appreciated after a New Years dook! The internet is fast and the TVs / Sonos speakers were peRead morerfect for watching movies. My friends and I had a wonderful stay here, and we all said that we would stay at this property again without question. Hide

The house was amazing and we all said it was the nicest property we have ever stayed in, and weve stayed in a lot. We loved the views, the decor, the furniture. Findochty is a beautiful little village on the Moray Firth with lovely beaches and harbour. We found a natural harbour with a little beach , lovely for swimming and crabbing. Lovely house with wonderful views from the sunroom. Very clean with plenty of towels and lots of space, bedrooms were all a good size. Attending a family funeral and helping to sort out deceaseds matters so didnt get too much time to enjoy the house but would like to return.

Excellent 5 star property with high end fixtures and fittings. Amazing panoramic sea view from the sunroom never gets boring. Great location for exploring the coastline of Moray Firth. Super king bed was really comfortable as well.
