Choose between the spacious balcony and generous terrace of the subtropical garden when you and your friends and family luxuriate in the incredible views from this Aberdyfi holiday home. Set above the scenic, Welsh village, this splendid holiday home takes in views out over towards the magical estuary and the open seas of Cardigan Bay. Sleeping eight guests, and also welcoming a pair of pups, the four-bedroom retreat is in a perfect position for wandering down to the beach about 250m away, or over to the golf course, less than 1 mile from the house. Also head off from here to explore the southern swathes of Snowdonia National Park, with its hills, mountains and many outdoor activities, or pick up a section of the Wales Coast Path and hike along for a stretch next to beautiful Cardigan Bay.

Make your way into this airy retreat, pausing in the boot room to leave your beach sandals or walking boots, and find there is a WC here too. Head on into the inviting lounge/kitchen/diner where you will have to tear yourselves away from the sweeping vistas to prepare a snack or meal for your hungry party. Set the table in here too so you can sit down to celebratory meals together in style. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen, to make clearing up easy, and a washing machine and tumble dryer in the nearby utility room for your swimming costumes, towels and walking wear. Recline on the soft seating after each meal and watch the Smart TV for a while or pull open the doors and take a cocktail out on to the balcony. Head down to the ground floor to watch another Smart TV in the games room or for a table football match. Find three double bedrooms and a twin room down here too, together with the sleek family bathroom and the family shower room. Stroll out into the subtropical garden from the games room. Relax out here in the sunshine over a cup of tea and take in the views. Light the BBQ in the evening and enjoy dinner out in the fresh coastal air as you soak up the scenery. Plan group activities during your stay. Arrange for everyone to have a go at kitesurfing down in the village or charter a boat to venture out wildlife spotting on the estuary and sea. Take a 4-mile walk along beside Cardigan Bay to Tywyn, where you can hire bicycles and follow a traffic-free trail into the Dysynni Valley. Venture 15 miles to Fairbourne to go pony trekking through the magical scenery of Snowdonia.

Really great house for our family of seven + baby - very comfortable, well equipped and with superb views. We extended our week's holiday by a day and are sorry we couldn't stay longer - our first time in Aberdyfi but I hope not the last...

This was an excellent property. Convenient for walking into town though the return walk was uphill. Plenty of parking and the views were magnificent. Great venue for our family gathering.

We've holidayed in beautiful Aberdovey for decades, close to our hearts due to family origins. This fabulous house is up there as one of the best we've stayed in. Well appointed in all aspects, spacious, comfortable, with amazing views. Ideal for families. Plenty of parking and great indoor/outdoor space. Tricky to find but directions very helpful.Read more Steep driveway challenging, especially for low cars but easier with practise. Some cleaning issues but maybe we were just unlucky. We were really spoiled as we had sunshine every day. Even if it had poured with the rain the view from the living room and dining room was perfect. Everything that you would expect from a well equipped home was there.

Beautiful house, very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Stunning views from the balcony. Close to centre via the footpath but as every other review states, it is very steep path! Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely return.

October half-term. There was rain for a time every day but we got to watch the weather across the estuary from the huge picture windows of Ty Gwylan. We greatly enjoyed our stay, loved the upside down set up of the house. Rooms spacious and well organised, with beautiful art work in many places. While we were there we explored the village, TalyllynRead more Railway, the miniature train from Fairbourne, the footbridge to Barmouth, and over the estuary to the reserves at Cors Dyfi, Ynys-hir, and Ynylas. Superb cottage in the hills overlooking Aberdovey, stunning views and very modern and relaxing feel to the property. Highly recommend. Need a deep breath to walk back up the hill from the beach but good exercise. You won't be disappointed on all fronts.

We loved this house! The photos don't really do it justice, it's fabulous! Very spacious, nicely furnished, well equipped. The outside areas were great & the views outstanding. Nice touch to have the telescope too. Would definitely recommend. The only negative is that it is, as others said, a steep walk down to the village so not suitable for some.Read more Would recommend ordering shopping to be delivered. Beautiful...home from home amazing views so comfortable ,so well equipped. .. however .bedrooms are downstairs, wouldn't recommend anyone with mobility issues to stay here though amenities too difficult to walk to also ..order your shopping for delivery ....no welcome pack ..difficult to find from main road . Fantastic outside areas with amazing views, which we loved. Excellent facilities, comfortable bedding and we loved the split level design. The only downside was the very, very steep walk back up to the property from the Main Street, which my wife struggled with. The property took a lot of finding, due to the sign for Garth Road being hidden in the Read morehedgerow, We had the most relaxing and comfortable holiday in a long time. Hide
