19th century barn conversion with spacious accommodation in a gated estate, beautiful grounds with fishing on site. An idyllic retreat for a family holiday, in Bettws Cedewain with a local pub nearby.

Step back in time and appreciate the peace and quiet of Mid Wales, staying in this stunning property with 30 acres of surrounding land to make full use of. Complete with plenty of traditional elements including original beams, stone flagged flooring and authentic farmhouse doorframes, this dog-friendly property offers you the chance to truly appreciate a country stay with everyone you hold dear to you by your side. The accommodation houses eight guests and up to four dogs, ideally suited to two families travelling together or a larger group of friends. Those with bigger families (or even more friends) will be pleased to find a further three-bedroom property on the estate, happily sleeping an additional six guests - perfect for a holidaymaking gang who wish to appreciate the activities and attractions of the Welsh countryside together.

Whilst the surrounding area offers activities in abundance, you’ll also be pleased to find plenty to stay entertained with right here at the house. Leave the car behind and simply venture into the garden, losing yourself in the sprawling 30 acres of woodlands and outdoor space. Here you can get stuck into some trout fishing, fire up the BBQ or simply take drinks by the pond as the children play. Should the weather not permit such outdoor activities, head inside to get cosy and warm. The open-plan ground floor puts the lounge, kitchen and diner into one sociable spot. Prepare meals beneath beautiful oak beams and spend mealtimes together at the dining table. There's space for everyone to sink into a cushy seat in the lounge. Pick a family favourite DVD and get stuck into some serious entertainment whilst your pets curl up by your feet. Suitable for multi-generational stays, the home boasts a generous super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite wet room on the ground floor. This accessible sleeping option can also be set up as a zip-and-link to accommodate those who prefer not to share a bed. Finally, three further bedrooms await upstairs, all of which offer en-suite facilities for an additional touch of privacy.

Wow what a special holiday, my partners 30th and new years! The cottage was perfect! We were 6 adults, 3 children and 4 dogs, and all had our own spaces and felt catered for. 2 fields to exercise the dogs in safely, stair gate to keep kids and dogs downstairs safely. We stayed in the big house for my wife's "important" birthday and our two children, partners and grandchild. The house is immaculate and the setting is fantastic. The owner was helpful and showed us where we could take our dog to exercise. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome from the owners. Beautiful property, but a little tricky to find in the dark. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. High quality towels and linen. Kitchen has everything you could want during your stay. Only suggestion would be a slightly bigger fridge, but you do have the benefit of a wine/ beer fridge. The pub will probably be a nice walk awRead moreay in summer, but dark and a little treacherous in dark winter nights. Not much to do nearby. Hide

Booked this getaway last minute for a family gathering and birthday. The property really suited us as we took along elderly parents, one who isn't very mobile. Everything you need for a short break or longer is there. Extremely comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, rooms bright and airy. A field for the dogs to have a run in. Pleasent grounds to wander and enjoy. Excellent take aways from Newtown that deliver. All in all, we had a fantastic family holiday and a relaxing week. Thank you.

The Bull and Heifer nearby is a welcoming pub with excellent beer and food.
