Book a group stay in scenic Somerset and head to this gorgeous converted barn on the outskirts of the charming village of North Curry. The impressive, Dutch-style property sleeps up to eight guests and also welcomes up to five very happy hounds. The four-bedroom property, which sits within nine-acre grounds where the owners also live, has its own enclosed garden and captures magnificent rural views. It is well-located for trips into Taunton, 7 miles away, and into the Quantock Hills and Blackdown Hills, areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Open the door on to this enticing holiday home and find yourselves in the welcoming reception hall. From here, wander on through into the inviting lounge, where you can all settle on the comfortable seating to watch a movie on the Smart TV. Stoke up the wood burner in here on chilly winter days or open the French doors when it is warm. Read your book for a while perhaps and simply take in the glorious views. Head on through to the bright kitchen/diner to make everyone a cup of tea and to start preparing the dinner. Chat to friends and family who are sitting up at the breakfast bar and ask someone to set the table by the window, ready for a lively, holiday meal together. There is also a cloakroom, with WC, and a utility room downstairs. Make your way up to the floor above to find the family bathroom and two king-sized bedrooms, one with a vaulted ceiling, en-suite shower room and its own Smart TV, and the other with an en-suite shower room. There is also a double bedroom and a twin. Dine out in the village pub or have a cup of tea in the cafe. For more amenities, head into Taunton, with its array of shops, galleries and eateries. While you are here, visit the Museum of Somerset and impressive St Mary Magdalene Church, with its tall tower. Follow a 1.5-mile walk that takes you along a section of the River Tone, where you may see little egrets hunting for fish. Venture 5 miles to reach the edge of the Quantock Hills, where you can walk and cycle through scenery that is simply spell-binding. Plan a day trip to the beach at Burnham-on-Sea, 21 miles away. Here you can have a dip and play games on the wide sandy beach.

What an absolute amazing holiday cottage! In advance of our arrival the owners couldn't have been more helpful responding to our queries. When we arrived, the cottage was spotlessly clean. We spent a weekend with friends and 3 Dogs at the Dutch Barn. Jim as really helpful and responsive , letting us check in early and recommending pubs to visit. The barn was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and great showers with lots of hot water. A lovely house with lots of equipment for group cooking and plenty of bathrooms. Walks available right from the house. There are sheep in the field next to the garden and only a wire fence with quite large holes, so not advisable for all dogs. Dogs required to be kept downstairs only, so should be ok with some separation.

Our family had the most fantastic time at the house, we were amazed to find such a beautiful property that would accept 5 dogs! Beautifully clean, lots of space and the most wonderful location. We had a lovely stay, the property was in a great location and offered spacious accommodation for our party of 7 and 4 dogs. The hot tub was a lovely bonus and was used daily. The Dutch Barn is dog friendly but dogs are not allowed upstairs which did cause us a few issues coming from a bungalow where our dogs are used to being on the same level as Read moreus not separated away. With 7 adults & 5 dogs it was hard to find a cottage, but we were over the moon when we found the Old Dutch Barn. The space is well designed for groups everything is of high quality. We cooked a lot and as well as having a stunning view across the countryside, the kitchen was well stocked with top quality equipment that made cooking a breeze. The Cottage was amazing. The kitchen was so big with plenty of cutlery and crockery to cook a large family meal. We loved having breakfast in there in the morning as there was plenty seats at the table for all of us to sit around the table. The living room was very spacious and the views were beautiful. What a beautiful Dutch barn! We visited in February with friends and their dogs. A sad time for us as we had suddenly lost ours and he was missed as he would have loved it! Beautiful property, we were there in a January and the area as flooded in parts, so our walks were limited. couldnt really access the hot tub as the garden was completely sodden, it was like a mud bath! Would be better if there was a better path to the tub! Theres 30 extra charge to use the hot tub? still had to wait 24hrs until hot! local pub is oRead morek for drinks but the food is awful and very expensive. drove to Lyme Regis which is lovely great beach for our dogs and lovely places to eat.
