Located just outside the Lake District National Park, this cottage makes an ideal base for exploring the North Lakes. You’ll be just 6 miles from Ullswater, where you’ll find stunning mountain scenery and a plethora of walks for all abilities. The market town of Penrith is 5 miles away and has a great selection of independent eateries. Alternatively, head over the road to the family-friendly pub. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, the spacious cottage suits large families and groups of friends. It boasts a large farmhouse-style kitchen, as well as a separate dining room with seating for everyone. After dinner, unwind in the cosy lounge with its warming wood burner.
The stylish cottage has been thoughtfully decorated, with contemporary furniture and accessories complementing the original features. The cottage is deceptively spacious, with large rooms and a variety of seating areas, allowing everyone to spread out during the holiday. In the morning, gather around the table for four in the light and bright kitchen to plan your itinerary over breakfast and in the evenings, perch here with a glass of wine whilst dinner is being prepared. Come together for dinner parties in the beautiful dining room, where an elegant beam runs overhead and there’s a large dining table to seat all eight guests. After dinner, retire to the cosy lounge, which is also full of character, thanks to exposed beams and an ornamental fireplace. Sink into one of the plump sofas to watch TV in the glow of the wood burner or curl up in the window seat with a good book. On the ground floor, you’ll also find a handy shower room. The four tastefully decorated bedrooms are located on the first floor, along with the family bathroom with a gorgeous free-standing slipper bath. To the rear of the cottage is a charming garden with a raised patio for al fresco dining. Outside the property there is parking for two small cars (take care when entering the driveway, as the entrance is quite tight).
