Get together with your nearest and dearest in this large Grade II listed family home. The property is set on the picturesque Cartmel Peninsula, within easy reach of both the South Lakes and the Cumbrian coast.

Studded within the idyllic village of Cark, this attractive property is chic inside and promises a comfortable stay for your entire group. Perfectly suited to big celebrations, your accommodation sleeps ten across five bedrooms and has ample room to relax together. Catch your favourite films armed with bowls of buttery popcorn, enjoy al fresco drinks on the small patio, and snuggle up by one of two wood burners for cosy evenings. You’ll be just 4 miles from the Lake District National Park, a natural playground of sweeping mountains, tumbling fells and glacial lakes that promise a whole host of discoveries.

Inside is a soothing blend of period features and contemporary flair, something you’ll notice as soon as you step into the first lounge with its slate floors and crackling wood burner in the fireplace. The snug is a welcome alternative if you are in need of peace and quiet, and it has a second wood burner. The galley-style kitchen is fit for a feast with its elegant units, inviting you to rustle up meals made from locally sourced ingredients. Dine around the table with candles and good wine, then slip outside to the small patio garden for a nightcap under the stars. Upstairs, the bedrooms are a sanctuary after a day of adventures, and you’ll have five to choose from. The bedrooms share the generous family bathroom complete with a clawfoot bath, and the second-floor bedroom has its own en-suite – just beware of reduced head height due to the low ceilings and timber beams. Off-road parking is subject to availability throughout the village.

Lovely cottage just not parking friendly, and for the size of it you need at least 2 cars.

A great home for an extended family gathering or holiday. We enjoyed it's location in the heart of the village and proximity to the railway station which was useful for different members of our party arriving at different times. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. Lovely characterful property.

Cottage was spotless, the hosts had left wine and jams for our stay. The fires were very welcome with fully stocked wood baskets . The cottage was very homely but also had everything you could need. We had a great stay. Only thing I would say is that the hand shower in the bathroom has no pressure at all - other than that everything was perfect thaRead morenk you Hide
