Make memories to last a lifetime in this grand Georgian property in the south-east corner of the Lake District National Park. The spectacular property sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms and also welcomes two canine companions. The holiday home is the perfect base for friends and families who want to get away from it all and enjoy quality time together, whilst exploring nature and embracing the great outdoors. After a long fell walk, return to the property to share a delicious dinner in the elegant dining room, before retiring to the beautiful lounge to chat long into the night in the glow of the open fire. The immaculate gardens are a haven for children and dogs, with vast lawns to play on. There’s also a peaceful summerhouse and ample room for al fresco dining. Enjoy outings to nearby Windermere (18 miles) or spend a day at the seaside at Grange-over-Sands (6 miles).

Enter the fabulous property via the imposing entrance hall, where you can store all your outdoor gear. Musical members of the group can entertain guests on the piano, and there’s also an impressive selection of books to peruse. A sweeping staircase leads to the four first-floor bedrooms, two of which boast en-suite bathrooms. The entire property has been impeccably decorated to complement its original style, with opulent soft furnishing and feature wallpaper, creating a truly unique backdrop to your holiday. Come together for evenings of great food and laughter in the stunning dining room, where an open fire creates a cosy atmosphere and floral drapes frame the windows overlooking the garden. The spacious lounge has ample room for everyone to spread out and unwind in front of another crackling open fire, where you can snuggle up with a book or watch a film together on the TV/DVD. Outside, the stately gardens are a sight to behold, with landscaped lawns, vibrant floral displays, and a damson orchard. Dine alfresco on the large patio or chill out in the relaxing summerhouse. Just book! We had the most amazing time with family and two kids (7 and 5) here! House is so beautiful and great for kids to play hide and seek. Was lovely for a January stay - fire is so cosy and the dining room is just the best place to eat and chat and has the wow factor! Elaine was lovely and really helpful. We will be back!

Fab huge house surprisingly warm. Super views. Welcoming. Best WiFi in hall. Comfortable. Gardens well maintained and our dog really was welcomed. The house was well furnished but not intimidating and catered well for our mixed age group of 3 to 100 but only 3 of us attempted the walk to the shop/pub. It was ideal to relax inside or out with plentyRead more of folding chairs avaliable. We weren't aware prior to booking of opening hours of gardens to public but turned out not to be a problem. Hide

This is a wonderful property with room to spread out if you want and enough room to lounge together and certainly dine together. The view down the valley is wonderful and the gardens are immaculate. The bed we had was very comfortable, a great place for children to play hide & seek.
