Eight guests will find an abundance of space to rest and recharge when staying in this rural farmhouse, whether you’re kicking back in the lounge or enjoying warmer weather in the sunroom and garden. The owners have gone to great measures to ensure that guests of all ages will find something entertaining to keep them occupied including games, plenty of media and even a telescope for getting lost in those starry night skies.

On arrival you'll be eager to park your belongings in the open-plan kitchen/diner with additional sunroom, a generous area that certainly acts as the hub of the house. Complete with a sprawling dining table, handy breakfast bar and a well-equipped kitchen for feeding eight hungry mouths, this room is on-hand for packing the days picnics, planning adventures or simply sitting down to hearty meals together. The French doors and skylight in the sunroom floods the area with light and provide a great space for children to tuck into the toys and games left to play with. For the adults, a dual aspect lounge with original wooden beams and a warm, welcoming colour scheme offers a fantastic space to unwind late at night. Throw a log or two on the wood burner and switch on the TV or challenge yourselves to a game of chess. Completing the property's interior offering is four bedrooms on the first floor, three of which have been designed to feature en-suites that offers that additional touch of privacy.

Pack up all of your essentials and step out on adventures from your doorstep. The banks of the beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake are just 2 miles away, ideal for easy going waterfront walks that will while away an afternoon. You’ll also find gentle and easy to follow routes at the nearby Dodd Wood (1.5 miles). Those in the market for something a little more adrenaline pumping might be eager to visit Whinlatter Forest Park (9 miles), a tree lined, thrill seeking spot where you can Go Ape or simply discover the area atop two wheels. From here the towering fell of Grisedale Pike (9.5 miles) also lays waiting to be hiked and boat trips on the nearby Derwentwater (6.5 miles) offer a fantastic way to view the scenery from a unique perspective.

Lovely location. Barely noticed that there are other properties on the site. The Farmhouse is larger than the description leads you to believe. Five bathrooms is a real bonus for large groups. It's very comfortable and well equipped. Shower water pressure varies by room but apart from that all is in good order.

Superb property, superbly managed. The property was beautifully appointed and very clean. Despite the main road running along the property, it was quiet. The location was wonderful and easy to access. Parking was good. Our stay was really memorable and relaxing.
