Traditionally decorated with a ton of original features, this converted farmhouse property offers you and your group the chance to step back in time and enjoy some of the simpler things in life. For example, the majestic open-plan living space is separated by an authentic stone fireplace with wood burner set inside, perfect for curling up by the warmth of an open flame and chatting away come the evening. Fabulous location, but a little pricey for a half-term holiday. Lots of character, but access to end bedroom is for short people only! Shame the back door was kept locked. Really enjoyed the log fire.

This property was perfect for a large family get together, with spectacular views over Skiddaw, and only 3 miles into Keswick. Braithwaite is within walking distance, where the Coledale Inn looked after us very well. This is a stunning property in an idyllic location. So quiet! Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breathtaking views and plenty of walks locally. Great weather meant we used the lovely garden, enjoying the sound of the stream. Useful being close to Keswick. We loved it. Well definitely be back. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at Hallgarth Barn and it was ideal for our two families. The cottage is cosy and has everything you could need. The location is excellent with beautiful views outside each window, close to Keswick but very peaceful and quiet. Our party of 6 and a dog had a wonderful stay - the house is spacious and comfortable with the best view while washing up you could ever hope for! The kitchen is really well equipped, the living areas very comfortable, beds too (just watch heads on the low beams!) - we loved it!

This is an excellent property with fantastic views and facilities. A great centre for walking and discovering the northern and western lakes. It provided a wonderful temporary home for a three generational family gathering.

1 Downstairs of house difficult to heat, with open plan & high ceiling, despite use of wood burning stove. 2 Two of the outside door locks jammed & difficult to lock. 3 Lovely views. We were a party of 5. Furniture, crockery & cutlery linited for parties of 8.

This is a very spacious, characterful, comfortable and warm property. The location is excellent, being only a short drive from Keswick with its very attractive and bustling shops and amenities , but in a very quiet, yet accessible spot with glorious views of the hills.
