A chic home-away-from-home, it’s a superb accommodation option for groups of friends or families who want to escape to the south coast to make memories that will last a lifetime. Spend your days strolling along the clifftops or exploring the New Forest, and your evenings hosting al fresco dinners in the garden or checking out the bar and restaurant scene in the village of Highcliffe.

Step inside this welcoming property and you’ll find yourself in a wonderful open-plan living room/diner that provides access out to the garden through patio doors. This is a wonderfully sociable space, where the whole gang will be happy to relax and unwind together. Cook up a feast in the stylish kitchen and gather everyone around the dining table for dinner. Alternatively, head through the patio doors in the lounge to the patio area and dine alfresco. The property’s lovely garden is completely enclosed, so if you have your pups with you, they can run free while you dine. After dinner, crack open a bottle of something cool and crisp and watch the stars come out, or head in to the living room to relax in front of the TV. At the end of the day there are four elegant bedrooms to choose from.

Beach bums will be spoilt for choice in Christchurch, as there are six glorious beaches to choose from. Go for a picturesque stroll at Highcliffe Castle Beach (0.5 miles), or take in the lovely views of the Isle of Wight from Gundimore Beach (1.5 miles). Or for a day out with a difference, head to Mudeford Quay (2 miles). Stop off there for a pub lunch before taking the pedestrian ferry across to Sandbank. There you can chill out on the beach or climb up to Hengistbury Head, where you’ll be rewarded with wonderful views of Christchurch Harbour on one side and the Isle of Wight on the other. Or, if you have the kids with you, let them run off some steam at Adventure Wonderland (7.5 miles), where there are 30 rides to choose from. Alternatively, go and soak up the grandeur of Highcliffe Castle (0.5 miles), which was built between 1831 and 1835 (the tearooms do a wonderful afternoon tea), or make your way inland to the nature reserve at Nea Meadows (0.5 miles), where you can see 250 species of wildflowers.

A special Family holiday is what we'd hoped for and that's certainly what we got staying in The Owlery. The Owlery is a lovely home and garden, and it is very well equipped. The location is great - just a short walk across to the woods and down to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - thank you.

Quiet location and a good position for the beach and walks with dogs. Well maintained house with an enclosed garden, we had no worries about the dog escaping. Plenty of room for a family of eight looking for a holiday near the coast within the New Forest area.

We had a wonderful time at The Owlery the house had everything we needed for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. It is close to the beaches, Highcliffe Castle, the local shops, and if you want to go further afield as we did, Christchurch and Keyhaven, both worth a visit. We spent a week at the Owlery, on arrival there was a lovely welcome pack. Everything was very comfortable and well set out for us as we had 4 little ones. One of which cried all evening the night before we left cause she didnt want to go home. The Owlery is a beautiful property with everything we needed. We were left a lovely welcome package for us and our dogs. The garden was brilliant & totally enclosed so we felt safe letting our dogs run around. Lovely location, quiet yet close to shops and the beach. Large driveway, we had three cars and a trailer. The accommodation is in a lovely quiet residential road with good local access to the beach and close to many places to visit. The Owlery has a large garden with a barbecue and first class garden furniture for relaxing. The Lounge/Diner is a good size and the kitchen is well appointed. Location of property was excellent for cutting through the golf course to the beach. Garden was secure and excellent for our four legged friends and well equipped with garden furniture. Really enjoyed our stay and wished we had been able to stay longer. Beautifully decorated throughout and a lovely garden which was perfect for our two babies and dog. Really well equiped. Easy 20 minute walk to the beach.

We had a lovely few days away - plenty of room for 5 adults and two dogs. Absolutely lovely house. Very clean and decorated to a high standard. Garden fully enclosed for dogs and a good size for them to have run. Location peaceful and only a short walk or drive to beach. The Owlery is a lovely well equipped spacious comfortable bungalow with a great garden and location. Plenty of room for family friends and dogs!
