Wake up to remarkable views each and every morning when staying here, starting the day with a freshly brewed coffee and plotting the adventure-filled hours ahead. Whether your long awaited get together with beloved family or friends is a time for thrilling outdoor activity or simply a chance to explore quaint Lakeland towns nearby, this property offers the perfect base to return to at the end of each day. Sleeping eight guests in luxurious, newly renovated surroundings, each and every visitor will be met with a comfortable bed and fresh linens to help them rest up and recharge for whatever lies ahead.

On arrival, your first port of call will be the impressive lounge which is flooded with light thanks to floor to ceiling and Velux windows, and grand vaulted ceilings. Contemporarily decorated, yet with traditional farmhouse elements maintained, the room boasts an exposed stone feature wall and original wooden beams. Sink into comfortable seating options whilst the warmth of the wood burner washes over you, perhaps listening to music on the Audio Pro wireless speaker or watching something entertaining on the Smart TV. Another TV can be found in the kitchen/diner, great for over breakfast or when keeping the cook company before mealtimes. You’ll also find the kitchen to be fully equipped with appliances and equipment to prepare all of your favourite dishes. Along with a king-size master bedroom on the ground floor, the property is completed by four bedrooms on the first floor, all offering delightful views. And not forgetting the outdoor space, there’s 200-acres of pastures and woodland that make up part of this estate, along with a patio for evenings spent al fresco.

A great house for a family get together. The kitchen has an induction hob. We did lots of cooking and the equipment was OK, though I'd recommend bringing your own knives etc if you are a very discerning chef. There are two stairs off the main living areas without stairs gates. One to watch for toddlers, but the underfloor heating is amazing. Beds wRead moreere quite soft. The travel cot provided didn't come with a mattress, so I'd suggest bringing your own. Hide

We came to this property to celebrate a 60th birthday with family including children, I was a little worried before we arrived in case it wasnt big enough, but was pleasantly surprised , it had plenty of space. All the bedrooms were lovely. The barn was perfect for our stay. I would definitely recommend.

A beautiful barn conversation for up to 8 family members and our dogs. Greatly enjoyed by all in this lovely location although it is quite remote from amenities. So ensure you take plenty of food and drinks with you. We recommend a visit to the local cafe at Bassenthwaite station for good food on board the train!!
