Sleeping 14 guests over seven bedrooms, this bolthole is perfect for families with a separate annexe for two if you fancy a quieter evening after the day’s adventures.

Sitting on a 10,000-acre working farm at the end of a private lane, this detached farmhouse exudes country style to make you feel at home. Getting dry and snug post-adventure is an easy task thanks to the handy boot room where you can throw off muddy clothes and leave boots behind. Both the lounge with its roaring wood burner and the brilliantly spacious kitchen/diner are wonderful spaces to gather, boasting charm and character. Slow cook meals on the oil-fired AGA before plating up at the dining table which seats 14 or taking your plates outside for a BBQ supper. After dinner, spend time relaxing in the hot tub and sauna whilst little ones play to their heart’s content on the lawn, or challenge yourself to a game of tennis. Beat fellow guests in a game of pool before emerging victorious and celebrating with a good night’s sleep in one of six tranquil bedrooms. A truly wonderful bolthole for those with a passion for exploring, take to paths and trails from your doorstep to stretch your legs. The magical moors are teeming with wildlife, flowers and scenic spots so whatever direction you find yourself heading, you’ll enjoy a fabulous walk. Venture into the heart of the National Park and ascend Dunkery Beacon (21.5 miles) for panoramic views and a peak-top picnic or stay closer to home and visit Lynton and Lynmouth (5 miles) where you’ll come across the famous funicular railway. Take to the South West Coast Path and trek past Woody Bay where you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the tidal Victorian bathing pool or continue on to Heddon’s Mouth and dip where the stream joins the sea.

We had a wonderful week at Woolhanger Farm. The manager and staff on the farm site were courteous and helpful. We would have preferred for all 14 of us to be in the same house, rather than 2 in the cottage attached, but got many that would be a plus! We would like to return!

Visited for a weekend with family for my fathers 80th. Ages from 3 to 80. Very impressive house- would gladly have a kitchen like that at home! Very spacious and clean and we were well provided for with towels, firewood, tea, coffee and cake (lovely touch). The house is big enough for you not to feel on top of one another and yet retains a cosy warRead moremth. My parents stayed in the small adjoining cottage which was equally well fitted and cosy. I cannot fault this place. It was absolutely lovely. All the bedrooms excellent and the kitchen and outside eating areas very good too. We had an amazing time here. There were 10 adults and 2 children in our party. However, another 2 -4 would fit into the property well. The place was left and clean tidy. Lovely spacious cottage.Well equipped. Accessible downstairs bedroom and shower room.We used the sauna and swim spa every day.There are some beautiful walks around the cottage and some hidden gems.

The house is very spacious with lots of facilities, with 14 of us we didnt feel cramped. Spa and sauna were great. Good quiet location with short drive to beaches, walks and other attractions. Great family holiday, highly recommended. Thank you!

An absolute beautiful place to stay, couldnt fault anything! It was clean, and spacious and had all the facilities and more. Couldn't recommend this place enough it was beyond expectations! It had beautiful walks and the grounds were lovely. Had an amazing week and didn't want to come home!

What a fabulous find! This house is perfect for a family gathering. We were a group of 13 and 2 dogs there was plenty of room for everyone. the swim spa was a big hit and the homemade cake on arrival was lovely. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend, we will definitely return for another family get together.

The whole family had a wonderful holiday. Great size house, very comfortable and warm (we stayed in Feb) with everything you could possibly need. The kids loved the sauna and spa swim. The location is excellent and the Woolhanger estate is very pretty and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a fantastic stay, great house fully equipped with everything you could need. Plenty of bathrooms for all of us. Pool table room was great for the kids. Hot tub and sauna were lush! My family and I had a great weekend, and the lovely cake which went down a treat when we all arrived. Fantastic place to stay with the large hot tub my grandchildren loved and the walks to the lake, tennis court and the garden, also the grandparents retreat. Would recommend to everyone.

Lovely well equipped holiday home set in a beautiful garden. Tennis court was well used as was the Room with hot tub and sauna. Hot tub deep enough for children to swim in. The property was spotlessly clean, well equipped and luxurious. It's even better than the photos show with everything maintained to a high standard. This is a great house! Lovely & big with an enormous kitchen diner, with an aga and an electric oven for those not confident with the aga. We used the bbq a lot though which was a great option. The beds were comfy, & the bathrooms all beautifully finished with ample hot water. The garden was beautiful, but if you take your dog it can escape from itRead more so beware.
