Perfect retreat for family or friends to get together to relax, a bonus of sharing one large property but can shut the door and enjoy some privacy from the rest of the group. Enjoy activities and explore the heritage, culture and countryside in Wales and its borders.

Nestled on the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons, this characterful barn conversion offers a peaceful rural retreat for families and friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Comprising two semi-detached cottages joined by a lockable connecting door, this secluded property sleeps up to eight people and four dogs in an area that’s renowned for its delightful scenery, stunning walking routes and wonderful nature. Stargaze in your private hot tub on a clear evening, or snuggle up in the cosy lounge next to the wood burner on a chilly afternoon.

The traditional stone exterior gives way to a welcoming and homely interior, where flagstone floors, feature stone walls, wooden beams and original fireplaces blend with stylish furniture. Because these are two interconnecting cottages, the property has an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on both sides, allowing friends or families travelling together to enjoy a little personal space, should they wish to. It also means there will be no disputes between young and old who want to watch different programmes on TV in the evening! The chic corner kitchens offer plenty of space to store fresh produce picked up on your travels and prepare delicious meals, while the dining tables overlook the surrounding countryside. Why not make the most of warmer weather by firing up the BBQ and enjoying an evening soiree in the garden, topped off with a dip in the hot tub? With a bathroom and a utility room with a washing machine on both sides, this property has ample facilities for a comfortable and convenient stay. The bedrooms pair up too, with a double and twin room on both sides, making this ideal for two families travelling together.

A fantastic break with the family. If you want peace quiet and tranquility this is for you, beautiful location, lovely walks across the farm land and country lanes. Some of the family had the opportunity to help scan the sheep for babies. Lovely touch with cake, local bread, eggs, jam and cream on arrival. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cosy cottage in the middle of the countryside. We had a lovely stay and the welcome gifts of homemade cake amongst other things were a lovely thought.
