Chalk up your cue and get competitive on the three-quarter-sized snooker table or cosy up in the Admiral’s Well before climbing spiral stairs up to the top of the tower which commands fantastic views.

Follow the private farm track to reach your destination (level and firm but not tarmacked) and marvel at the splendour of this former shooting lodge. The charm and character only continues inside with flagstone flooring, exposed stone walls and decorative antlers throughout. Perfect for large parties, the fresh, bright kitchen has all you need to feed eight hungry guests, with ample space to designate more than one chef, and two fridges to fill. After fun-filled days together you’ll want to enjoy a communal dinner and raise a glass! The long dining table comfortably seats eight guests and has a gorgeous cabin-style feel, whilst the outdoor furniture is the place to be in summer when the days are long and warm. Take a tipple outside and toast to your fabulous location or invite fellow guests to meet you in the snooker room for a lively evening. With a handful of places to unwind, curl up at the bottom of the tower in the Admiral’s Well, or put your feet up on one of the sofas sitting beneath a spectacular chandelier with 42 oil-filled candles and antlers. Command one of the ground-floor king-size bedrooms and relish in their charming style - with either the free-standing bathtub for lazy soaks, or the en-suite shower room, these rooms are lovely places in which to rise and shine. On the first floor, the final king-size room has a striking internal balcony overlooking the snooker room where little ones will need to take care. The final bedroom is perfect for younger guests and fun-filled sleepover and storytimes. There is ample off-road parking available.

Pack your bags, grab the picnic and travel 11 miles south for a day at the beach. Backed by gorgeous Georgian architecture, this is a picture-perfect seaside resort with beautiful waters to swim in and plenty of attractions for young guests. Further along the coast (16.5 miles from home), admire the magical arch of Durdle Door. For market days and cinema nights, travel into the heart of Dorchester (3 miles).

A quirky, secluded and comfortable property in a lovely area with a beautiful view. Other than the one adjacent to the kitchen, the bedrooms lack natural light. The bedroom overlooking the space with the snooker table lacks privacy and there's no sound protection from the kitchen or main living area. Bathrooms clean with excellent showers.
