A beach-lovers paradise, this charming home sits just over the dunes from the local beach on the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sleeping eight guests over four bedrooms and with ample space for sociable evenings, whisk family or friends away for a seaside holiday. If you fancy a sand-free day, the majestic Bamburgh Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle are both within 10 miles of your front door, so you can marvel at majestic buildings and admire beautiful views over the coast. Keep everyone entertained after long days, little ones will love the play area.

 

Park up at this gorgeous stone cottage, one of 22 on site, and unload your cases and bags full of provisions. Step through into the open-plan kitchen/diner and stock the cupboards with goodies for delicious dinnertimes and picnics. Beautifully sleek style flows throughout and makes the kitchen a welcoming place to experiment with flavours and gather for a morning cup of tea. The dishwasher is a welcome sight after long days and big meals, meaning you can all sit down together and enjoy yourselves rather than spending time clearing up. Dine at the table or serve up outside on the pretty patio, the perfect spot for long, summer’s evenings whilst younger guests swing, slide and climb away on the shared apparatus. After dinner, head inside to cosy up in the contemporary lounge. Whether you’re snuggled in front of the flame-effect electric fire or fighting it out on the pool table, it’ll soon be time to say goodnight and head to bed. Four steps separate the bedrooms from the living area, which are all decorated in calming, neutral tones to help you drift off for a peaceful night’s sleep. Both the king-size and double bedrooms have their own en-suite shower room, whilst the two twin rooms share the family bathroom. Start your day with a soak in the tub before getting ready to head out to explore the coast. There is parking for one car directly outside, and ample on-site parking.

A short walk over the dunes brings you to the gorgeous, sandy stretch of Newton-on-Sea’s beach. The local pub serves up hearty meals so you can treat yourselves to a bite to eat for lunch or dinner to break up the day. Both with epic, ocean views, Bamburgh Castle and Bamburgh Castle Golf Club are great ways to spend your days, whether you’re uncovering myths and legends or getting hole in ones.

We stayed here as a group of 8 attending a wedding at Newton Hall. The cottage was clean and well equipped, and the site was lovely too. We would recommend this stay as it was good value for money and a great location.

Wonderful location, spacious comfortable cottage. Only 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the local pub. Nearest local shops in Embleton (2 miles by car). Great location for walking and bird watching.

The cottage is in an amazing position literally right by a stunning unspoilt beach. The Warren is very spacious, was extremely clean and well equipped. There are certainly most things you need to cook a meal in the evening and some nice touches were a cafetiere and a ground coffee machine. We used both. We would highly recommend this cottage. The accommodation is really lovely with everything that you need for a great holiday and the position of the cottage for the beach is amazing. We also enjoyed the visits from the peacock every morning.

The Warren was another beautiful cottage situated right next to the beach, well equipped, beautifully clean, and so very quiet, considering it was in a complex of 20 also cottages.Would have preferred a large lounge for eight people it was quite small, and a few more chairs for outside in the Sun as only two were found

This is an AMAZING property so just get it booked and you wont be disappointed! We have a 3yr old and she loved it! Theres so much on the site to entertain kids- the beach is a 1 min walk, the play park and football pitch is beautifully maintained and the working farm is lovely to walk round and see the animals. This is our second visit to The Warren cottage, its location and its facilities are wonderful.. the property is very clean, well maintained and well equipped., cant fault it and looking forwards to returning in the future.

Superb location and lovely well equipped and comfortable house. A two minute walk through the dunes to the idyllic beach, sheltering woodland and plenty of wildlife. We enjoyed the exotic peacocks although the dawn chorus became a little noisy, they were welcome visitors to our door! Fabulous place for a family holiday of any age!

Great cottage-ideal for our family. Plenty of room in the Warren for us and our extended family. Really well equipped, comfortable and an easy walk to The Joiners for food. You would be hard pressed to get closer to the beach.

The location of this property is superb. The children loved the football pitch and play area. There was plenty of space in the cottage, yet it was cosy in the evenings. It is well equipped, well maintained and very clean. We hope to return in the future.

This was probably one of the best cottages we have stayed in for cleanliness, facilities and the area is magnificent I would thoroughly recommend. However, we are in COVID times, as customers we have to arrive late and leave early because the property must meet certain standards. Accepted that is the nature of the time we live in. We had a technicaRead morel problem and a plumber was called, he arrived UNMASKED expecting access. Why would the owner be annoyed with us for his contractors failings. Hide
