Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, this charming holiday home enjoys a peaceful rural setting near the village of Sawdon (2.5 miles) and within easy reach of the Victorian seaside resort of Scarborough (12.5 miles) on the North Yorkshire coast. It’s part of a complex of properties surrounded by gorgeous gardens, nature and wildlife. Enjoy country walks right from your doorstep or hop on two wheels and meander along pretty country lanes. From the bottom of the drive, you can walk to Raptor Viewpoint (1.5 miles) in Wykeham Forest for spectacular views of the Troutsdale Valley and forests, while peregrine falcons and honey buzzards soar in the skies above.

Step inside this charming holiday home which has welcoming open-plan interiors with exposed timber beams, and a country style. Store coats and walking shoes in the hallway and unwind in the spacious living area with a Smart TV, the perfect place to gather and catch up on the day. Or congregate around the kitchen island while the culinary kings and queens in your group rustle up the most delicious of feasts in the well-equipped kitchen to enjoy at the dining table with ample seating. There’s a breakfast bar for morning coffees, and a handy utility area here too. When night falls, you’ll find two cosy en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor, and two en-suite bedrooms upstairs. You’re at the gateway to the North York Moors National Park where there’s a huge variety of walks and nature trails to explore. Zip from the treetops and hop on Segways in Dalby Forest (14.5 miles). Join the Moor to Sea cycle network and discover more than 150 routes to explore. Go coarse fishing or try a variety of watersports on Wykeham Lakes (6.5 miles) where you’ll find a fun family-friendly aquapark; or venture to the market town of Malton (18.5 miles) in May for its highly regarded food festival. Visit the market town of Pickering where you can see 13th-century castle ruins, and hop on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to coastal Whitby.

This is a beautiful property with lots of attention to detail. Plenty of space inside and out for everyone. Our 4 year old granddaughter particularly liked the wooden play houses and climbing frame. There are plenty of paths for walking or cycling on the door step and villages and towns nearby to explore. Hayley and Martin are so helpful and very wRead moreelcoming. We stayed in Vale and Moor cottages and they were both fabulous. None of us could get over the attention to detail, beautiful decor and the gorgeous gardens. Wellspring Farm is a great place to relax and unwind.

Just back from a week's stay at this beautiful house. We had an amazing holiday and couldn't have been a better accommodation for us. The house itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Was also very spacious. Kitchen came equipped with everything that was needed. My 5 year old also found toys to play with which he thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage was beautifully presented and well equipped. Hayley was very helpful and keen to make sure we had what was needed or how she could help further. The cottage is ideal for disabled guests, even for those using a large powered wheelchair, as access is flat and there is plenty of space to manoeuvre and use a hoist in the downstairs bedroom Read moreand wetroom. The cottage was immaculately clean, tidy, well equipped and a real pleasure to be in. The garden was a treat for our dogs and for our grandchild as it was safe and secure. Idyllic, remote gem of a place! Hayley and Martin were fabulous hosts and we had everything we needed for the stay. If you want complete tranquility and a lovely location away from it all this is definitely a place worth checking. Lovely decor, well equipped and an overall beautiful holiday cottage.
