Well equipped , spacious comfortable house, ideally located for exploring the local area. Fully enclosed safe garden which was great for the dog. Walks from the back garden up into Goodrich village avoided crossing the busy road at the front of the house, although we managed it safely when we did cross it to go down by the river . We had a fabulous Christmas week at Poplands. The owners decorated the house for Christmas, including a Christmas tree and also Christmas bedding. The kitchen was superbly equipped with everything needed to cook at home. The heating was efficient and the wood burner ensured we had cosy evenings. Very well equipped cottage. The heating was so good that we didn't need to use the wood burner. There were only two of us staying so we found we had plenty of space and didn't need to use the upstairs. I think having an extra couple would have been fine - more than that might have been a bit crowded

There is everything you need for a comfortable family holiday here. The attention to detail for guests needs and comfort is much appreciated. Lovely to spend time in the garden watching the birds queuing for the feeder. Would recommend to anyone looking for a base in the Wye Valley for a family get together.
