There are miles of spectacular walks throughout the area, with access to the famous Tarka Trail. The northern coast is within easy reach, allowing you to spend some lovely days out by the seaside.

Entering this spacious, light and airy property via the large glass oak-framed porch, you will find a charming snug with Smart TV, plenty of seating and a selection of books and games, providing a fantastic space for kids getting away from the adults. Exploring further, the chic and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has been imaginatively designed and attractively decorated to provide a fresh and appealing living space with plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV, a fully-equipped kitchen and a lovely dining area. Natural light floods in through the large French doors which offer a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. There are four cosy and tastefully decorated bedrooms (two en-suite), each with a TV/DVD. Heading outside, the large patio area offers some magnificent country views for you to take in as you enjoy a BBQ or a glass of wine in the evening. The private hot tub allows you to unwind in comfort as the kids play in the large garden surrounding the house. An adjacent field provides the perfect area for your canine companions to exercise off the lead. The friendly town of Great Torrington (4.5 miles) is known as the Cavalier Town and has a wide variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. The Torrington area is also home to the famous Dartington Crystal and RHS Garden Rosemoor. Heading to the coast there are some lovely seaside resorts including Bude (20 miles), Westward Ho! (11.5 miles) and Clovelly (13.5 miles). Other local family attractions include The Milky Way Adventure Park (11 miles), The BIG Sheep (10 miles) and the ancient parklands at Dunsland (8 miles). The great expanse of Dartmoor lies to the south (24 miles), and there are plenty of opportunities for activities including cycling, horse riding, fishing and water sports.

A lovely cottage in a quiet rural location which suited 2 families well. Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We had a lovely week and the added touches like the hot tub, garden games and scones from the owner were appreciated. We would return again the future.

What a wonderful week at the beautiful Barns Farm. 7 adults, 1 baby and 4 dogs. Immaculately clean, extremely comfortable and spacious enough for the 4 generations in our party. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Huge garden, securely fenced to keep the dogs safe. EV charger which was a god send for me. Definitely felt like home from home.

Really beautiful, peaceful location and a comfortable home. The photos seem to show that the driveway down to the property is shared but we didnt see anyone else. The grounds were really secure for our dog which was a relief as it didnt look that way from the photos.

A lovely, very clean, very comfortable holiday home. It is well maintained and spacious for a large family or group of 6-8 friends. Very dog fri ndly. Nice touches like the dog treats, towels bowls etc and a lovely welcome gift of prosecco, scones jam and cream, all of.which was very much enjoyed.

Had a lovely stay at Barns Farm. Games barn and hot tub were very well used. Having the garden completely enclosed with 2 dogs was brilliant. Just an FYI, if you are using the downstairs en-suite bedroom. There is only a small amount of drawer space for clothes - no wardrobe. We had a fantastic time in this property. 6 Adults and 2 medium size dogs. Everything was spotless and really comfortable. The 2 fields were great to let the dogs off lead. Lovely garden & the hot tub was great in a sun trap. A few mins in car to Tarka trail & Torrington for shops etc. Also seaside not too far. Owner very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful cottage I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone. We stayed at Barns Farms for a week, with a multi generation family. Mother late 80s and grandson 5 years old and everyone had a lovely time., plus two dogs, who made the most of the large secure garden and paddock.

Beautifully presented house in Devon in a great location. The owners have created a lovely holiday home with gorgeous use of space, furnishings and the hot tub. We visited the coast and walked the Tarka Trail which is a few minutes drive away. The host was very accommodating when we arrived by letting us access the property slightly early. A wonderful, relaxing and very sunny 2 weeks at Barns Farm. Such a peaceful location with lovely views and a large enclosed garden for our dog and plenty of walks nearby. This is an absolutely beautiful property with all the 'bells and whistles' needed. Our Biewer Terier loved the space to play and lots of rabbits to chase in the garden. Had an absolutely brilliant stay. Lovely layout, comfy beds, great facilities and loved the wood burner. The garden is fantastic for dogs as it is enclosed. We picked this place because we needed accommodation that had four bedrooms, at least three bathrooms and accepted three dogs and that's what we got with Barns Farm. It also has the hot tub Although the location is a bit remote, it's nice not to be disturbed by neighbouring properties. The coast is about 11 miles away so it's still easily accessiblRead moree and there are some nice village pubs within 10 or 15 minute drive. Would definitely recommend. Hide

Lovely place to stay, very quiet and peaceful. Good location for exploring the area. Spacious house, very comfy beds. Good communication with the owner. We had a great time.
