Holiday in Norfolk with your party of eight at Thorpland, near King’s Lynn, and experience the unique beauty of both the countryside and coastal landscapes here. Take two happy hounds with you if you wish and head off on long walks; venture out to beaches and nature reserves from the four-bedroom country home, and also find yourselves within easy reach of bustling towns and charming villages. Explore the two acres of grounds that come with this period home and include pretty walled gardens, or simply light one of your two wood burners and luxuriate in the sumptuous, interior space.

Make your way into the country house via a lobby leading to the inviting kitchen/diner, with its central island, where members of your party can sit and chat to you as you cook. Find a utility room leading off from the kitchen, which houses two washing machines and a tumble dryer, plus a ground-floor cloakroom. Spread out and choose between two lounges, each with a wood burner and TV. The main lounge, which has a Smart TV, is also a great place to gather in the evenings to play games together. Children will also enjoy the adjoining video den. Celebrate special occasions and enjoy delicious meals in the formal dining room then make your way up to the first floor, where all the bedrooms are situated. Some of these are particularly spacious and take in gorgeous views out over the grounds. Find a family shower room and WC up here too, along with a shared bathroom, with a bath, shower and WC. Let children and pups run to their hearts’ content out in the enclosed rear garden or accompany them on exciting walks through the rest of the grounds, taking care near the pond. Savour the serenity of your rural setting and light the BBQ on warm evenings. Find parking for numerous cars at the property.

The Cottage was a very nice period building with large gardens and a long drive, keeping road noise to a minimum. Some maintenance issues could have been dealt with before our stay. As the building is very old, the upper floors are uneven, making it awkward for elderly or infirm visitors. The outdoor seating in the garden, was very useful as we forRead moretunately had very good weather, although the moles, made playing badminton on the lawn a little difficult. Hide

By far the best holiday, we have had in the UK. A plethora of birds visiting the garden, muntjac dear passing the dining room window every evening. Patio area catches the sun nearly all day, and no traffic noise, very dog friendly, hopefully will revisit later this year or next year.
