This magnificent cottage lies just 5.5 miles from the sweeping expanses of the Yorkshire Dales. Comfortably sleeping 12 guests across six beautiful bedrooms, it makes the perfect getaway for large groups of family and friends looking to savour the county's spectacular scenery. Walk, run, cycle and sail your way through one of the most UK's most picturesque national parks. Then after a long day of exploring the countryside, there's no better way to ease weary feet than in your very own electric heated hot tub.

 

Split over three levels, this property has been designed to offer the perfect mix of community and seclusion. And despite its large size, rustic touches will help you feel right at home. Pull up to one of four off-road parking spaces and step into the elegant lounge. Big enough for the whole party, this space boasts a stunning open fireplace plus underfloor heating, meaning there's nowhere better to cosy up in the evening. Or while away the hours around the open-plan kitchen's stylish dining table. With space for everyone, it's the perfect place to enjoy a board game or two. For full-on feasts, gather the troops in the stone-walled orangery and savour a delicious meal with fabulous views into the garden which, with an enclosed patio of its own, is ideal for big summer get-togethers. Then top off your evening with a spot of stargazing in the wonderful hot tub. After all that, guests can savour some alone time in one of six thoughtfully designed bedrooms. Less mobile guests can enjoy the ground floor bedroom with en-suite wet room. Keen climbers, meanwhile, are rewarded with two fabulous master bedrooms on the top floor, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a free-standing bath. The property has a beautiful village location on the cusp of the Yorkshire Dales and is an ideal basecamp from which to strike out and discover some unique Yorkshire locations, including Reeth (15 miles) and the stunning landscapes of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale. It’s also well placed for a day trip to the Lakes if you want to explore this beautiful area.

The property is set in the heart of a very pretty village in the Yorkshire Dales. There's a great dining pub under half a mile from the house and if you're a bit of a foodie. there are several more excellent dining pubs in the area as well as an award-winning deli, tea room and farm shop. It's also the perfect location if you enjoy walking. There are lots of beautiful walks from the doorstep and in fact, it’s well-known as a great starting point for walking - seasoned walkers come from miles around to set off from the village.

This stunning large luxury cottage is just a few miles away from Richmond (4 miles), a historic market town with much to offer the discerning holidaymaker. Explore the cobbled market square or head up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Just a short drive through Richmond takes you into the heart of the Yorkshire Dales proper. Head up towards Reeth and on towards Hawes in Wensleydale (27 miles) for a true taste of this magnificent countryside.

North of the property is the charming town of Barnard Castle (15 miles), a pretty little place with a host of shops, cafes and pubs to explore. The excellent Bowes Museum is here and is well worth a visit. And as the name would suggest there's a historic castle to explore too.

Further south, you'll find the pretty market town of Northallerton (22 miles) where handsome Georgian houses line the long main street. The wonderful Betty's Tearooms is here as is a fantastic local deli, Lewis & Cooper's Food Emporium and of course the quintessentially Yorkshire department store of Barkers. If you feel like a spot of pampering, there's also a fantastic spa in the area.

Lovely stay at Willow House for birthday celebration. Cosy lounge with open fire & plenty of wood for us to use. Nice large dining area , bedrooms comfortable & bonus of a hot tub. Lovely village with a friendly pub just over the road. Not too far to drive or walk into Richmond.

Beautiful house with lots of space. Hot tub was lovely for 6 girls on a weekend away. The white swan pub is a definite recommendation for food but the house is well equipped to self cater. Beds all very comfy and we all slept very well!

A really nice place to stay with everything provided that you would expect for self catering. Everybody in our party found their beds comfortable and all slept well! We made a request for a couple of fresh towels and the next day we were offered a full set of replacements. The only downside was a broken drawer in the dishwasher which meant getting Read morepots cleaned for a big group might take two attempts as it would jam the rotary jets.
