Situated at the heart of the traditional seaside resort of Eastbourne, cross the road to start the day with a bracing swim at the town’s wide shingle beach, before spending the day exploring independent art, gift and craft shops and a variety of eateries. Sleeping eight across four bedrooms, the property is perfect for family gatherings, celebratory get-togethers.   Whether relaxing on the beach, canoeing in the bay or tackling a range of land based outdoor activities, there is something to keep every party member happy. Just remember to reunite for a sociable meal at the large dining table come the evening.

This 18th-century former bakery has been thoughtfully updated to create a comfortable and characterful holiday cottage. Traditional exposed beams and brick walls echo the origins of the building, whilst the retained original features add authentic charm. With a neutral, light palette in delightful contrast to the dark wood furniture and floral textiles, this spacious yet cosy cottage is a welcoming home from home. The delightful entrance hall has space for coats and boots, as well as offering a quiet spot to relax and read should a little solitude be required. With a few steps down to the cosy lounge, the split level creates different areas to socialise, and with the comfy sofa and armchairs it is the perfect place to relax together with a film after a busy day. The compact kitchen is ideal for preparing a home cooked meal, whilst the dining room, with its feature fireplace and original bread oven is a quirky and characterful setting for sociable, family mealtimes. The ground floor is completed with a twin bedroom, whilst upstairs there is one double and two twin bedrooms. With one en-suite and a family bathroom upstairs and a spacious wet room with shower downstairs, careful consideration has been given to the practical requirements of those on group holidays. Outside, there is private access to a raised courtyard with views to the sea, and there is a private parking space within a gated carpark 0.1miles away.

Great character cottage in a very good location very close to sea front. The downstairs rooms have plenty of space for 8 people. The secure off street parking is a real bonus. Well equipped. Good size bedrooms upstairs with wardrobes (not clear in some photos). Nice clean (and newish) bathrooms.

A good-sized cottage with a long history, well placed in relation to the sea front. There is lots to do in and around Eastbourne - we enjoyed Lewes, Charleston, Hastings and Rye, as well as the Eastbourne promenade and art gallery.
