Down the stairs to the spacious living room, where low ceilings create a characterful and cosy setting, just perfect for a companionable evening of film watching. Marvel at the beautiful views and, as the evening sets in, light the wood burner and enjoy a snooze on the sofa. The four bedrooms boast countryside views, and are comfortable and cosy – and, with the en-suite shower room and family bathroom, there is no queuing! The spacious interiors are matched perfectly by the far-reaching surroundings. Roam freely in the fields or climb higher for a picnic along the well-waymarked footpaths. A lovely, cosy place to stay, very warm and full of character. Plenty of hot water and a generous amount of wood included for the stove. We had a very enjoyable weekend as a group of friends, walking from barn and further afield, visiting Symonds Yat, swimming in the Wye, and completing the Three Castles Walk.

The house was ideal for our holiday with 5 adults and 2 young girls (and a dog).. We had loads of space and enjoyed the dingle where there was a slide , play house and swings. Beautiful area and I definitely recommend the walk to the waterfall but check when the ice cream parlour is open!

We had a great stay here over Christmas. We were two families of four and one dog. The property is very clean and very well equipped. The layout is great to give children space to play and the kitchen has a nice seating area. Would love to return here and explore the area.

Lovely location. Really well presented dog-friendly property. Clean tidy and a lovely welcome basket on arrival. Instructions were very clear and good documentation about the house itself and other local amenities. We followed the local walks as recommended by the owner. We had a fantastic time.

We loved Shoppe Cottage! The big kitchen diner was great for our evening meals where we all could cook and chat and eat together. The barn was perfect for a family short break. The location is peaceful, not difficult to find, offering beautiful views. The barn itself was well equipped and tastefully decorated with handcrafted items in keeping with the style of the building. We appreciated also little touches like a basket of toys for toddlers. Had a lovely week in this beautiful cottage, fantastic surroundings, was made very welcome by the owners, the only downside was that the dogs had to stay in the utility room and kitchen (this was not mentioned on the website) if the property takes dogs they should be allowed in all areas downstairs, as we had paid extra for them.
