We had a really lovely long weekend staying at Swallows Nest in a family group of 6 adults. All the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the whole house is beautifully decorated and excellently equipped. We loved the lounge area and the large dining table. The kitchen is not large but had everything we needed. We were lucky in the weather - a dRead morery bright weekend in February - and really enjoyed watching the sun come up in the morning. And as a bonus, we got to do some star gazing! Hide

Spotlessly clean, warm with piping hot water. Good sized bedrooms with comfy beds which even smelled nice! Safe for our twin toddlers - we were able to block off the stairs and the kitchen. They loved the horses and the tractors. Downstairs en-suite ideal for our elderly great grandma. Owners friendly snd helpful - lovely touch to leave tea, coffeeRead more, milk and biscuits on arrival. Owners were flexible about the arrival/departure times when contacted directly. Loads of safe parking. Well be back! Hide

Homely and spacious house. Plenty of equipment for home cooking too. A small outdoor sitting area but not enclosed and limited freedom in the outdoor space. This is a working stud so a consideration if guests have children that need to run off some energy without close supervision: this would be difficult. The stud tour was interesting.

Very nice property in a lovely quiet location. We were a party of 6 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms had good showers. Not far from the Ridgeway path which some of our party were walking. We loved seeing the horses and very much enjoyed a tour of the stud farm . So interesting to learn abouRead moret the charitable side as well as the commercial side of the business. No shop nearby but not far from Wantage. Great selection of pubs in local area. Hide

Good looking house on Stud farm. Internal accommodation was very good, but we were disappointed with the lack of a garden. This meant that it was not so suitable for small children. Helpful staff and our whole family enjoyed farm tour. Very quiet location.

Beautiful setting surrounded by horses and rolling hills. Great location to visit local attractions and come back to a comfortable well equipped cottage. Wantage is a 10 minute drive away with plenty of choice for eating and shopping. A wonderful week spent relaxing in the countryside with family so a thumbs up from us.
