Stay in a property reminiscent of the south of France without leaving the Warwickshire countryside. This remarkable farmhouse sleeps 10 perfectly, plus 3 additional sleeping arrangements (suitable for children), offering the ideal spot to relax after a long day of soaking up the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The property’s Georgian charm has been extenuated by having its rooms decorated with period furniture and classically cosy British furnishings. As with traditional country homes, the kitchen is the bustling heart of this house. The classic AGA warms the large central dining space which seats 10, creating a cosy spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner all year round. Challenge yourself to cook using the AGA, but rest assured, an electric oven and hob is there as a backup. Two lounges, one of which holds a day bed for alternative sleeping arrangements, means you’ll have space for children to play whilst the adults relax, one with a TV and both with a wood burner in a feature fireplace. Across three floors the bedrooms and bathrooms continue the shabby-chic aesthetic of the house. Wrought iron bed frames, wooden day beds and antique wardrobes create comfortable sleeping spaces with a distinct C. S. Lewis vibe, whilst stand-alone roll-top bathtubs create the perfect spot to rest those muscles. Completing the property is a charming enclosed garden, with outdoor furnishing, ideal for an early evening glass of wine.

Really beautiful home, would recommend for big groups after a lovely cosy spot. There was everything we needed, even travel cots, a big bag of toys. The bathrooms were all huge and beautiful. Everything was clean and tidy. Only down side is that its on a busy road and quite noisy.

Booked this farmhouse for my wife's 70th birthday family gathering. It ticked all the boxes for the quintessential country house down to the log fires and the Aga. Next to a busy road but not noisy just need to be careful entering and leaving the property as cars approach very fast.

Golden cross farm house is a lovely property with lots of character features. Its very well equipped and great for groups. It is important to note that you will need to share bathrooms as only one was en-suite. The property is right next to a main road so is very noisy. So if you are looking for a quiet location this is not the property for you. ThRead moree location is ideal for exploring Stratford on Avon and the Cotswolds. Hide

Beautiful house in gorgeous surroundings. Ample room for a large family & children. If I had to mention a draw back it would be the constant noise of the very busy A429. However, this would not stop us from booking again and the Welcome home baked sponge cake was the Icing on the cake, Delicious. A very memorable visit.

We had a great stay at the farmhouse it was perfect for what we needed - large, lots of rooms and bathrooms, toys and books for the children, a very well stocked kitchen and it was comfortable and clean with some lovely furnishings. The house is quite old so there are some minor issues with plumbing but nothing that affected our holiday. The only dRead moreownside is the busy main road and you do have lorries speeding by very loudly all through the night. But other than that it was great. Hide

We enjoyed our stay very much, there's plenty of space and the bedrooms and bathrooms are all very comfortable and well sized. We spent a lot of time in the large farmhouse style kitchen and in the garden/patio-area in the late afternoons and evenings on returning from day trips around the Cotswolds, it had everything we needed.
