This remarkable coastal property has been fitted and furnished to a delightful standard, offering the perfect base for a family retreat with the beach within walking of your door step.

Boasting incredible sea views, whether you’re sat in the lounge or soaking in the private hot tub, this is a wonderful house for a group getaway to Devon. Sleeping eight people across four bedrooms, with a variety of sleeping arrangement to suit a multi-generational party, you can spend your time here celebrating a special occasion or relaxing in each other’s company. The living areas, and neatly kept garden, are large enough for everyone to comfortably spend time together. For eating out, or food supplies for tasty home cooking, the village’s cafes, pubs, and shops are a mere 0.5 miles away, so you’ll never have to travel far.

Inside, the house is a stylish home-from-home, cheerfully decorated with bright touches of colour throughout the soft furnishings. When you return from a day at the beach, enter through the back, straight into the warm and welcoming lounge. Its bi-fold doors open out onto the garden, so you can make the most of the sunshine and the sea breeze. Leave shoes damp from the beach on the patio to dry, and step inside. Tuck into a hearty meal in the dining room, where the wide wooden table can seat everyone. Afterwards, whoever didn’t cook can help clear away the dishes, before you get stuck into a board game. Lots of laughter and cheering later, put your feet up in the lounge, and unwind in front of the TV. There’s also a lovely second space in the sunroom, which for younger guests will double as their games room. While you settle down in peace and quiet, they can be playing on the Nintendo Wii console. At the end of the night, four pretty bedrooms assure you of a restful sleep. In the morning, head to the kitchen for tea and toast at the breakfast bar or take it outside to the enclosed garden. The view from the picnic bench, cup in hand, is the perfect way to start your day. Set off on another adventure, climbing the external steps to the parking area, where there is space provided for three cars.

This property has a lovely view of the bay, which was very enjoyable. The fencing down one side is low and our dogs could easily have escaped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and comfortable but the kitchen is tired and in our opinion needs updating. We did not appreciate we could not easily walk to the beach, with little pavement and hilly. WRead moree also needed to get to the far right of the beach for the dogs to be allowed access. Hide

Stunning view of the bay. Great location for getting out and about locally. Fence on the right could be a little higher due to dog staying also but otherwise we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return again one day

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the hot tub. If the number of steps had been mentioned down to the property we probably would not have stayed due to mobility issues as was the fact it was unwalkable to the front. Loved Westward Ho! and will definitely return.

Nice location but not good if you have dogs as its a long walk to the dog only area. Taking the car you have to pay 5.00 a day to park near the beach. The beach was great, empty and our dogs had miles to run around. It is very hilly to the shops and not many were open or restaurants due to lack of staff. The house was big, plenty of room but did noRead moret feel or smell clean. We felt the garden was not secure enough for small dogs, gaps underneith the small/short fence that led to a big drop.
