Enjoy complete relaxation on this quiet country farm in the rural hills outside Brecon. Explore what the Brecon Beacons has to offer before curling up in front of the cosy wood burner for a quiet evening with the family.

Just a few miles to the north of the Brecon Beacons, this beautiful double-barn conversion offers a relaxing atmosphere for a group of friends or a larger family exploring this stunning rural area. With ample space for up to eight guests, these two delightful properties share a connecting door making them a fantastic base for two families holidaying together. There’s also a private hot tub, children’s outdoor play area and a games barn. Set on a working farm surrounded by glorious countryside, there are miles of breathtaking walks and bike trails to follow throughout this enchanting area.

The property has been imaginatively converted from former bull pens and is divided into a lower barn and an upper barn, both retaining original features including exposed beams, exposed stone walls and some low sloping ceilings. The lower barn has a spacious open-plan living area with a relaxing wood burner, TV with FreeSat, DVD player and plenty of seating in the lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and a charming dining table perfect for the whole group to share a favourite family meal. There are also two cosy bedrooms: a king-size room with an en-suite bathroom, and a twin room with en-suite shower room.

Crossing through to the upper barn, you will find a charming first-floor lounge in the eaves of the property, with a TV/DVD, wood burner and doors leading out onto a terrace. The upper barn has a bright and fully equipped kitchen and a stylish dining area. There are also two further bedrooms: a double room with an en-suite bathroom, and a ground-floor twin room with en-suite shower room. Going outside, the terrace features several seating areas and a BBQ ideal for relaxing and gazing at the stunning country views. You can also unwind in the private hot tub, while smaller children play on the play frame with swings and a slide in the outdoor play area. The property has a detached games barn with snooker, table tennis, pool and boules. Ample parking space is available along with ta 7kw car charger.

Heading south, the Brecon Beacons National Park (5 miles) is a haven for walkers, cyclists and nature-lovers with popular activities including canoeing, pony trekking, water sports and climbing. Attractions within the park include Llangorse Lake (16 miles), the Usk Reservoir (11 miles), Pen y Fan (14 miles) and the Storey Arms activity centre (15 miles). The bustling market town of Brecon (8 miles) has plenty of great pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as a 1930s-style cinema, historic cathedral, regimental museum and theatre, or you could enjoy a round of golf or a meal at Cradoc Golf Club (6 miles). Local pub available, The Shoemakers Arms (5.5 miles). Hay-on-Wye, known for its literary festival and numerous bookshops, is a little further afield (26 miles).

We spent a lovely weekend here as a 3 generation family. The cottage itself is lovely and set on a farmyard. Theres a lovely play area for children and walks locally to enjoy the beautiful views. The equipment in the kitchen is exceptional, stocking things like a slow cooker! The hot tub is an added benefit! A lovely stay.

A fantastic place to stay! Perfect for what we wanted which was beautiful walks from the front door. Remote so dont expect a pub nearby. Cosy nights in were fantastic with dips in the hot tub. The night sky was amazing! Beds are comfortable and clean and rooms spacious. Great weekend!

Beautiful double cottage big enough for 8 people The hot tub isnt up to much but everything else was lovely. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. Nice to have a table big enough for us all to eat. It really is remote. No take outs or pubs - no phone reception! Amazing views with the most awesome stars in the dark skies above.

Beautiful farmhouse with lovely views, plenty of spaces, all bedrooms with ensuites and hot tub outside. We all enjoyed our stay and we had fun in the hot tub and game room in the barn.
