Hidden in the heart of the hills, this private nest of beautiful handmade shepherds’ huts provide the ultimate glamping adventure. Relax by the stream or gather around the fire pit in the evenings.

The perfect spot to get back to nature without giving up too many of your everyday luxuries, this glamping campsite is ideal for a family weekend away. Sleeping eight, kids will love commandeering their own luxury campsite, and adults will relish in the benefits of hot running water, solar-powered electricity and the peaceful location. Set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National park, you are moments from enjoyable hiking excursions.

 

Pairs of family members will enjoy a spot of freedom with these unique sleeping arrangements, which offer double beds in four hand-built shepherds huts. Each hut has a comfortable bed and wood burner, creating a cosy spot for late night relaxation. Expect to enjoy plenty of family time throughout the day, however, as the rest of the generous space around the hut features a communal area for spending quality time together. The Utility Hut has a fully functioning kitchen, ideal for cooking up a celebration meal, and a practical bathroom. Dining takes place at a covered outdoor dining set, alongside a fully-equipped BBQ and wood burner, creating a wonderful atmosphere when ablaze. Surrounded by fields and greenery as far as the eye can see, you can really let your children run wild throughout their stay here, utilising the swing set and ample rural space for their games and activities.

Ideally located on the outskirts of the beautiful Brecon Beacon's National Park, the property is conveniently close to a host of outdoor activities. Surrounded by the Black Mountains you're never far from hiking and cycling routes that'll no doubt exhaust even the more advanced adventurers. 6 miles away you'll find an outdoor adventure centre with nail-biting activities including abseiling, zip wiring and gorge walking. If you can keep yourselves awake by the time the sun sets, you must venture out after dark for a spot of stargazing. The Brecon Beacons National Park is an International Dark Sky reserve and boasts some of the clearest and darkest skies in the UK. On a clear night you can see the Milky Way, stunning constellations and the occasional shooting star, perfect for young budding astronomers. After catching up on some sleep, head up to the nearby market town of Hay-on-Wye (5.5 miles), where you'll find country pubs and independent eateries. This small town is well known for its impressive number of second hand book stores, so be sure to pick up a book that you can enjoy by the wood-burner when you get back to camp.

This is a beautiful, magical and special place, it felt like a total off-grid retreat from the outside world. Spent days walking, paddling in the stream, reading, playing games and cooking lovely food around the campfire. The huts are fabulous and beds super comfy. Kitchen well stocked and easy to use. I would suggest you take extra firefighters. TRead morehere was some communication issues around the shower and the owners were not easy to contact which did slightly damped things for a day or two. A very special retreat set in a wonderful location. The huts were beautifully furnished with very comfy beds. We enjoyed all of this whilst preparing and cooking around the open fire and BBQ. Planning our next trip already!

We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience . The only comment is that there is a rather long and steep walk down to the huts which feels even longer and steeper when walking back Up from the huts.

What a wonderful place! Just magical! This is the perfect spot for R&R. The huts are spacious and cosy, with their own individual log burners. This place is really special. Our dogs absolutely loved playing in the brook, whilst we enjoyed the wood fired hot tub. There are loads of fantastic walks just a stones throw from the huts. With Hay-on-Wye jRead moreust a 15 min drive away, with loads of great pubs, shops and a Co-op. I could not recommend this place enough! Hide

What an absolutely fantastic place to stay! The walk from the car park to the huts is very steep with a wheelbarrow and some of our party did struggle a bit but it's totally worth it for such a feeling of isolation. The hot tub was perfect next to the stream and very comfortably held 4 adults and could probably have squeezed in an extra 1 or 2 and Read morehad been lit ready for our arrival. The outdoor table and canopy is huge and kept us dry and the beds are super comfy. All pans etc provided. Hide

Excellent place to stay, we all really enjoyed it. Cooker and hot tub were straightforward to light. Kitchen had everything you needed. Dry weather for most of our stay was a bonus as we could all sit outside at night around the large fire pit. Off-grid and remote, this is a special place indeed. Hot tub next to the stream and beautifully comfy, warm beds to sleep in. We loved the fire pit and lighting the stove for hot water and cooking over the fire. The lovely sheep were curious neighbours and we did not tire of the views of the surrounding mountains.
