Property description
Treleaven Farmhouse enjoys a prime location, just on the outskirts of and with views over the picture postcard village of Mevagissey. It’s a lovely big house, newly built of wood and brick, with a large stainless steel kitchen, lots of communal areas for everyone to spread out, plenty of quiet spots for reading, and eight ensuite bedrooms.
There’s a large grassed area in front of the house and a generous patio area with wooden garden furniture and heater. The outdoor swimming pool, shared with the owner, is fully enclosed by hedging, and although unheated it has a cover to retain the sun’s heat in summer. Alternatively, it’s only a two mile drive to the beach.
Location
A couple of minutes’ stroll from Mevagissey where there are shops, pubs and restaurants.
Airport: Newquay
Station: St Austell
Accommodation
The house has six doubles and two twins, all with TVs and Freeview. Three of the double rooms and one of the twin rooms have uninterrupted sea views, a welcome start to the day over your morning cup of tea! There’s a further upstairs bathroom and two downstairs loos.
The two lounges have ample comfy seating, great views and TV/DVD player etc. The dining room enjoys the views and offers large enough space for everyone to sit together, or for the tables to be separated to have a smaller, intimate seating.
The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and has a large gas cooker, a dishwasher, two microwaves, two large fridges and a chest freezer.
Facilities
Bed linen, central heating and electricity are included. Please note that no smoking is permitted inside the house.
Area
Mevagissey has managed to remain one of the most charming of North Cornwall’s villages, and has a healthy selection of pubs and restaurants serving the catch of the day. For the more energetic visitor the South West Coast Path skirts around the county, with plenty of quiet coves and sandy beaches you can pop down to, along the way.
All Cornwall’s must-see sights are within easy reach of Treleaven, including The Lost Garden of Heligan, the Eden Project, and Truro with its cathedral, narrow cobbled streets, shops and theatre. Land’s End and the Lizard Peninsula are also well worth visiting.
