A former hunting lodge, Il Cerretello is a hugely desirable Tuscan country villa. A group of friends or three or four families can holiday here in enormous comfort and style. Outside, guests will be immediately struck by the beautifully kept landscaped garden, the spectacular infinity pool and the vast poolside loggia. Inside, the furnishings are elegant Italian country style; within the pale, colour-washed walls, no expense has been spared on a large kitchen of professional standard, parquet flooring and air-conditioning in all bedrooms, and bathrooms with marble and antique wood fittings. Il Cerretello has also proved to be the perfect location for a villa wedding, special event or exclusive corporate function.
Location
Il Cerretello stands in a huge garden of Mediterranean shrubs, roses, lavender and olive trees, at the heart of a prestigious private estate. From its secluded hill top location, guests can enjoy glorious views over the countryside below, with the picturesque hill towns of Montaione and Gambassi clearly visible.
Accommodation
At ground floor, there is a beautiful reception room with ample sitting and dining areas, large Tuscan fireplace and piano. The antique dining table can accommodate 25. There is also a further area with small tables ideal for breakfast, games etc. A second sitting room with Satellite TV/VCR can double as a playroom. The villa sleeps up to 20 in six elegant double rooms and two spacious two-bedroom suites. All bedrooms have en suite or private shower or bathrooms. The kitchen is big and beautifully equipped. Pets are allowed on request. Outside, the beautiful gardens include a large lawned area ideal for children.
Facilities
Il Cerretello lacks for nothing. The kitchen facilities would make a professional chef proud. And there is a small business centre for 20 on the estate with full office facilities. But the biggest wow factor about Il Cerretello is the pool area, not only for the 15 x 7.5m pool, bathed in sunshine from morning till night; but also for the fabulous loggia furnished with teak tables and chairs overlooking the terrace and countryside. The huge barbecue and grill here has a roasting spit. Both pool and gardens are lit at night.
Regular maid service is included. A professional, non-resident villa manager is available to advise on everything, from the best shopping outlets to beauty treatments (many of which are available in the comfort of the villa). Il Cerretello is an ideal setting for weddings, anniversaries, family reunions and corporate functions. Whether for two or two hundred, the villa manager will source the best professional suppliers and offer every assistance to you in planning your own very special event.
Area
Il Cerretello is perfectly placed for Tuscany's most popular tourist haunts: 25kms from San Gimignano, 30kms Volterra, 40kms Siena. It is also convenient for visits to Florence and Lucca. Tennis, riding and golf are nearby. The villa manager can direct you to excellent local restaurants, markets and speciality food shops. Cooking demonstrations, wine tastings with expert sommeliers and private tours can also be arranged according to your interests.
