Villa Estrella is a lovely country house with a great and quiet location at 650m altitude half way a hill and overlooking the valley. The former wine estate nowadays produces olive oil on its 20 hectares of olive groves in the middle of Parque Natural Sierra Norte. The house was carefully restored with traditional materials and is divided over two floors. It has a cosy salon with open fire and a library from which a stair leads to a wooden entresol overlooking the ground floor. The open kitchen is very well equipped and next to the open fire a long dining table (4m) which easily seats 16 and guarantees great dinner parties.
The house is surrounded by landscaped gardens with flowers and herbs and fruit trees on three different levels. The covered terrace has a 2 large tables for outside meals and a barbecue and is overlooking the rose garden. The pool (12 x 5m) located at the lower terrace, is heated by a solar power deck, has sun loungers and is child-friendly (fenced). Due to its high location the temperatures drop at night which provides comfortable sleeping, even during the warmest summer days.
This large cortijo (Spanish for upmarket farmhouse) is very suitable for large groups or families, and has an open kitchen with an open fire and a dining table four metres long, which easily seats everyone.
The six bedrooms with excellent beds have a total of five bathrooms with colourful plastered walls. Three bedrooms have direct access to covered terraces at the back of the property overlooking the olive groves. Catering and extra cleaning are available if required.
If you have extra guests you can also hire an additional apartment in an adjacent former bodega, 30 metres from the main house. It has a living area with an open kitchen and fireplace, one double bedroom, bathroom and a single sofa bed.

A quiet, rural location in the middle of a nature reserve. One mile (15 minutes' walk) from the lovely village of Constantina, where there are plenty of restaurants, shops, weekly market, fine tapas bars and a supermarket. In the surroundings there are walking trails, bike routes and lakes to be found. It is 1 hour to Seville, 1 hour to Cordoba.

It takes only 15 minutes to walk to the pretty, white town of Constantina, which has been declared a place of historical and artistic heritage. It is famous for many things: its Moorish architecture, its lovely food and wines, its passionate flamenco music and fiesta-loving inhabitants. The Nature Park has a lovely scenery which is characterized by its many old trees that give shade to the fine horses and cattle. These are the perfect surroundings for a quiet, relaxing holiday with great possibilities for walks, horse riding, bird watching and bike tours. This is the place for those who like to travel off the beaten track and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside, but with a good choice of cultural highlights nearby. Good days out include the UNESCO declared cities Seville, Cordoba and Merida.
