    Situated in the charming village of Peak Forest, just outside the spa town of Buxton and within close proximity to Chatsworth, Castleton, Bakewell & Ladybower, This luxury accommodation is ideally located for visitors to enjoy everything the Peak District has to offer.

    With excellent walking and outdoor pursuits close by, including cycling, climbing & the recently re-opened Monsal Trail, The Gables has the rugged Peaks to the north and the gentle rolling hills of the Derbyshire Dales, including Millers Dale, to the south. Mam Tor, Castleton, Chatsworth and the famous Ladybower Reservoirs can be driven to within minutes. Eldon Hole, one of the wonders of the Peaks - is twenty minutes walk from the house which is, itself, located on the Pennine bridleway.

    The Gables was built around 1850 and has been extended and renovated to an exceptionally high standard. The house and Peak Forest is steeped in history.

    The Gables is set in approximately 2 acres of landscaped gardens and in possession of a large patio area with an extra paddock, ideal for dog walking.

    On the ground floor, it offers a farmhouse style kitchen and adjoining utility room with a feature stone fireplace, a wood burning stove and two spacious sitting rooms with open fires.

    It also comprises of a large dining room, alongside an open fire.

    Upstairs accommodates a master bedroom, complete with a four poster bed, balcony and en-suite wet room plus 4 other large bedrooms, each allowing for 3 people to sleep. There are also two large family bathrooms including a sauna and Jacuzzi.

    Downstairs, The Gables also provides a separate television/reception room, making it ideal for children, with a further sixth bedroom to accommodate 3 people to sleep.

    The area offers things to do and see throughout the year, whether it be outdoor activities; visiting historic buildings; taking part in local summer carnivals or just general site seeing - the area has everything for a lovely weekend break or longer stay.

    Within pretty easy reach of The Gables are the historic villages of Eyam; Castleton and Tideswell which offer shopping facilities as well as being areas of local interest. Slightly further afield you have Bakewell and Buxton with plenty of beautiful scenery and pitcturesque villages in between.
