Known locally as Le Mas de la Coutettaz, The Farmhouse, built in 1771 is the oldest building in Morzine, and was originally owned by the prominent Baud family.
The Farmhouse provides a professional yet friendly and fun dwelling in which guests can make their stay their own, be that a week-long party or a calm and relaxing break away from their own homes.
There are twelve bedrooms in total. The Corner Room, Blue Room, Family Suite (comprising two adjoining rooms), Old Kitchen and Cell are located in the main house. The cottages are situated in the Barn as well as the Atelier. The Mazot stands independently in the garden.
The rooms within the main house and the Atelier can accommodate a child’s cot but not the Cottages or the Mazot. Cots are available for your use, along with childrens' bed linen.
The linen is 100% cotton and there is a selection of synthetic and down pillows and duvets where allergies are an issue. Towels are changed mid-week and bath robes are provided.
L’Occitane bathroom products are provided for your use in each room.
The restaurant is open to all; current guests, past guests that have gone on to buy their own chalets and friends. It’s fun for guests and our team to hear stories of ‘the olden days’, parties had, romances begun. The dining room has one large ‘banquet’ style table where everybody eats together. They try to have a boy-girl-boy-girl seating arrangement and the set menu is truly international.
You will need to book ski-school and nursery services yourself but the owners are happy to book and collect ski-passes on your behalf and have them waiting in your room upon arrival.
The bar itself is the heart of the building and used to be used as the kitchen in days gone by with the kitchen staff cooking family meals over the large open fireplace. The impressive slate floor is covered with comfortable furniture in front of the fire so that you can relax after a hard day on the mountain.
We can transfer you between the airport, train stations and Morzine. Please see The Farmhouse website for further details.
Depending on the time of year you can choose between a reception in the main dining hall or a party on the lawn, or a marquee can be set up for larger numbers. The Farmhouse can cater for the style and menu you desire and recommend music and decoration to suit.
There are a vast array of activities to choose from, year-round, in this region. With regards to childcare facilities the owners would recommend you look at the options in each part of the resort so that you can place your children in the same area in which you choose to ski each day. You can also arrange childcare with the two main childcare operators at the Farmhouse so the children stay in a familiar place.
