A private drive leads you to the house which is surrounded by large lawns on two sides, offering plenty of room for children to play and let off steam. This delightful farmhouse has been sympathetically renovated whilst keeping much of its original charm and character including flagstone floors and inglenook fireplaces. Situated on the border of Dorset and Devon, it is ideally situated just a few miles from the picturesque seaside town of Charmouth. You will have easy access to Jurassic Coast and can enjoy 250 miles or more of coastal and rural walks. The charming historic town of Lyme Regis is nearby, with its famous Cobb harbour, bright boats, narrow streets, selection of shops, inns, restaurants, cafes, and a glorious sandy beach which is perfect for children and adults alike. There are many other local attractions including Pecorama, Seaton Tramway, Crealy, Bicton Park, The Donkey Sanctuary, Burrows Farm Gardens, River Cottage HQ and many National Trust properties.

Heading inside this picturesque property, you will find the charming and welcoming lounge which is accessed via the flagstone hallway via two steps up and has a cosy wood burner, as well as a Smart TV with DVD and a selection of books to browse, making a perfect area to relax with family and friends. From the hallway, two steps lead down to the charming traditional dining room with a full-size dining table and wood burner. The elegantly designed kitchen is well-equipped with integrated oven and hob, double wall mounted electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. Exploring further, you will also find a useful utility room with a sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and door leading outside to the garden and parking area. Also on the ground floor is a spacious twin bedroom with a window seat and also the original inglenook fireplace. A separate shower room with WC can be found just off the utility room and completes the ground floor. Going upstairs to the first floor you will find three further spacious bedrooms which have lovely views over the garden. Firstly, there is a Master double with a super-king-size bed complete with an en-suite shower room and WC, a pretty double room with a king-size bed and a further twin room. Also on the first floor is the bathroom which has a bath and WC. Please note that due to the property’s age several rooms are accessed via steps. One of which is a set of four stones steps leading from the entrance corridor to the main hallway via another two steps. These steps are clearly marked with red paint and a handrail to one side.

Stepping outside, you will find yourself in the large enclosed garden with extensive lawn and a patio with garden furniture, BBQ and climbing frame ideal for small children.

The cottage is in a love rural setting, but within easy distance of coastal towns and villages nearby. Lots of scope for walking, visiting places of interest, or simply relaxing at the cottage.

The Farmhouse is an absolute haven; although reasonably close to the coast, it is hidden away in peaceful countryside. The property is full of character and is beautifully maintained. It was just right for 5 adults and two children.

The cottage is beautiful. Very old with lots of steps but very comfortable and well equipped. Visitors just need to be careful when entering and leaving via the rear gate. The narrow road it opens on to is very quiet, but there are some cars using it, and the gate is on a bend therefore visibility is restricted!

Had lovely week staying here, weather was beautiful. The farmhouse was lovely, quiet location and very well equipped. Farmhouse was central to the places we visited. There are a few steps but once you know where they are they were not a problem. Down stairs bedroom and bathroom was ideal for our elderly mums. Would go back and stay again.

Lovely roomy, spacious farm house. It was very chilly (-5) one night and we managed to keep warm. Great cot, huge bath. Worth noting there are baby gates which is handy. There are quite a lot of steps but our toddler managed them all - loved them actually. Really close to beaches. Would stay again.
