Spring Farm

Waldron, Heathfield, East Sussex, England

What a perfect house for a get-together in the country! Spring Farm is a charming, six bedroom Sussex country house, set in nine acres of gardens, fields and woodland. The property has an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna, a snooker room and a professional standard hard tennis court. The kitchen could have been lifted from a Fired Earth catalogue, and has a pleasing amount of floor and work space. The beamed living area with its open fire is conducive to drinks, films, books and chat after a long walk in the fresh air. And the bedrooms – three doubles and three twins – are light, white and sunny. Altogether, this house has an air of quiet organisation, privacy and utter tranquillity.
A large entrance hall leads to the huge, light and spacious triple-aspect kitchen. One part of the kitchen contains a wooden dining table for twelve, overlooking extensive gardens and fields.

Other ground floor rooms include a cloakroom with a shower, a study, a snooker room with a ¾ size table and a large, comfortable sitting room with exposed oak beams and an inglenook fireplace, ideal for roaring open fires. The lockable pool area has a year-round heated pool (7m x 3m) and a sauna.

The bedrooms have neutral colour schemes, soft carpets and quality beds. There is one master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a king size bed; and one oak-beamed room with a double bed and basin with interlocking doors leading to a further twin room and a shared bathroom. There's also a twin with an en suite shower room; and two further bedrooms, one a double, and one with the option of twin beds or linked king size bed, both with balconies overlooking the gardens and sharing a large shower room.
