Shepherds Rest (along with its sister property Buttermilk Cottage, sleeping four), is located on the edge of a 140-acre cattle and sheep farm in the Cornish countryside. The house is a barn conversion, built of grey Cornish stone, and ideal for families with young children. The décor is homely, traditional, simple and relaxing in style, with big squishy sofas in the wooden-beamed living room, a sunny kitchen and a wooden dining table for 12 at the far end of the living room. The four bedrooms include a room with two sets of bunks. There's seating outside on a patio area, and a safe play area in the garden for running around in, with swings, a slide and goal posts. You will be invited to join in and watch the daily farming activities and can stroll the surrounding countryside along the nature trail.
The living area is arranged on the first floor to take advantage of the countryside views. The kitchen is country style with wooden units, an electric cooker and everything you will need for preparing robust meals after an active day in the Cornish outdoors. There's a handy utility room with full
facilities on the ground floor, plus a second lounge with a double sofa bed, cane furniture and TV.
The four bedrooms comprise two king size doubles with ensuite shower rooms (one of which is the master bedroom on the ground floor); one twin room; and a room with two sets of bunk beds. The bathroom has a double spa bath.
French doors leads to the enclosed patio with furniture and barbecue. Your private hot tub is in an adjacent converted barn.
Kitchen: electric cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, breakfast table and lots of handy extras.

A rural setting, 7 miles from Launceston and the shops. The nearest beach is Crackington Haven, also about 7 miles away. There is a pub within two miles. Online supermarket deliveries by request.

This is an area with no end of things for adults and children to do, beginning with the beach which everyone heads for first! Then there's the The Milky Way Adventure Park, Tamar Otter Park, Launceston Steam Railway and various National Trust properties and gardens. The seaside town of Bude is only a short drive away, which has three very good family beaches, a boating canal and more. You are in a great position for touring the whole of North Cornwall and visiting lots of small fishing villages and long golden sandy beaches.
