If you love the great outdoors, you’ve found the perfect destination. Lower Northcott Farm has an enviable location, overlooking a stunning stretch of the North Cornish coastline. It is a Georgian period farmhouse with 9 bedrooms & is the largest self-catering property in the 400-acre Court Farm estate (there is also a 4 x bed house (8 guests) & luxury cabin for 2 guests available just up the lane, however the Farmhouse feels completely independent as its wonderfully secluded with both rural and coastal views. You can take a leisurely half mile stroll along the farm lane down to Northcott Mouth beach which is deserted in the winter and a perfect place to swim, surf and laze throughout the summer.
Northcott is proving very popular for large group family holidays, celebrations, reunions, house-parties and mature, well-behaved stag and hen parties. It's a self-catering house, but guests can arrange in-house catering or freshly prepared meal delivery if you prefer. This sprawling farmhouse has bags of individual character & guests can sit out in the garden with a pot of tea or a glass of wine on a blue sky day & take in the peace & quiet of its surroundings.
The kitchen is ideal for big group entertaining, large and well-equipped with an original flagstone slate floor that has been shaped over time. The double-range oven is ideal for putting together a four-course meal to be enjoyed around the large dining table. The dining room is next to the kitchen, and gets warmed up very quickly by a wood-burning stove.
The smallest of the three living rooms is in the annexe, a good spreading-out area for children. Another has stripped floorboards and a large, 42” flatscreen TV (with Sky Sports etc), a DVD & CD player. The third has another 42” flat screen TV and french doors opening onto the patio. One of the most popular features is the heated cellar games room, which has a pool table and table football as well as lots of local brochures and guidebooks.
The 9 bedrooms are comfortable and uncluttered. There are three singles, one twin, two family ensuite rooms, and four regular doubles (two of which are ensuite). Two of the double beds are four posters. There are also two separate bathrooms and a shower room.
Other facilities include a dishwasher, a double-range oven (switched off May to September to keep you cool!), two electric cookers, 2 x fridge/freezers, washing machine, tumble dryer & shed storage space for surf boards, bikes etc. The large gardens have a children's play area with swings and climbing frame & ample room for softball games and the usual garden activities.
