Les Hantes is a historic hunting lodge where the French king Louis XIII used to rest in the 17th century. You will be very close to Paris (less than 60 miles), in the Seine-et-Marne department (77) known as France’s granary. The domain is actually in the countryside and surrounded by fields, which makes it very peaceful.
The house has all the modern comforts you could need such as washing machine and dishwasher, oven and microwave, Wifi, TV and DVD player…
You will enjoy the walks in the park, with its ponds, its big old trees, along the barn and the gardens. And what better than a good fire when you return?
The wildlife are also a great attraction of the property. You can find sheep, chickens, rabbits, donkeys, dogs and ducks... And you will surely love eating organic vegetables from the garden and eggs from our henhouse!

is not only an exceptional place, but also a lifestyle!
The living rooms on the first floor:
• The dining room has a fireplace and a wood table that can seat 12 people.
• The sitting room also has a fireplace - it is very cosy for the winter nights.
• The TV room is between the dining room and the sitting room. There is also a desk in the room.
• The room that used to be the garage has been transformed into a music lounge. It is huge and perfect for children to play and sleep in with sleeping bags.
• The kitchen is accessible from the dining room via the scullery, and there is also a cellar.
There are 8 bedrooms:
• 1 with a single bed (Room 2)
• 2 with 2 single beds (Rooms 3 and 4)
• 4 with a Queen bed (Rooms 1, 5, 6 and 7)
• 1 with a large single bed (Room 8)
There are 4 bathrooms, all with toilets:
• 1 with a hip-bath (Bathroom 2)
• 2 with a bath (Bathrooms 1 and 3)
• 1 with a shower (Bathroom 4)
There is also a room out of the house in the barn which has been completely renewed, called the Indian Room. You will love going there to relax, think and read… The room is heated and there is a small bathroom with toilet and a basin.
The house is very child friendly, with toys, cot and a high chair…
There are three stairs along the house to reach the second floor from the scullery, the sitting room and the garage.
You can enter the house from several points, the kitchen, the bedroom with a Queen bed, the dining room, the sitting room and the music lounge.
All the rooms are furnished and decorated in harmony with the history of the house.

A cleaner can be provided daily for one hour (or more if needed). Cooks can also be found if required. The caretaker Patrick lives on the premises in his own seperate house and can be very helpful for any questions you may have.
Les Hantes is a big domain in the countryside, with many small villages nearby but no less than a 1 or 2 miles distance.
The little town of La Ferté-Gaucher is 6 miles away where you will find a supermarket, bakery, butcher’s and more.
Nearest airport: Charles de Gaulle airport or Orly airport at equal distance (60 miles)
Nearest station: Coulommiers (18 miles), or Provins (15 miles) where you can rent a car.
Provins
Medieval fair town on Unesco's World Heritage List, Provins is a city to be seen. Guided tours of historic monuments, knights shows or medieval banquets in the "taverne des oubliées", your only concern will be what to choose!
Champagne...
Staying at Les Hantes is also the occasion to discover the Champagne region, visiting cellars and vineyards... Taste the bubbles - not too much! - and even bring some home with you!
Disneyland Paris
For the little ones, but often for the big ones too, Disneyland Paris is only 1 hour drive away from Les Hantes. Spend the day there and come back to the peace and quiet of the house.
Disneyland Golf
The nearest golf is the Disneyland golf course, also 1 hour drive away. You will enjoy the 3 three different 18-hole courses and the club house.
