Huntsham Court

A stunning 30 bedroom self-catering exclusive hire venue located on the Devon/Somerset borders. The House and grounds sit in the 6,000 acre Huntsham Estate with its breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside.

Built in 1864, Huntsham Court is a Baronial mansion of substantial proportions with a relaxed grandeur that will make it feel like your home from home, be it a wonderful weekend or the perfect day.

We want your stay to be your way and everything we do is with this in mind – ease, flexibility and complete transparency, from your choice of suppliers to free corkage to being on hand to answer any questions.

30 bedrooms (24 en-suite) incl adjoining cottage. Large four posters, turret rooms, family rooms, ground floor rooms - cots and Z beds also available. The majority of the rooms can be either doubles or twins.

24 mostly very large en-suite bathrooms other share one between two - all currently have baths, mostly Victorian free standing roll tops.

Children - board games, perfect house for hide and seek, TV and DvD's, cots and high chairs, creche/baby minders can be arranged. For the less able we have ground floor accommodation as well as ample parking in direct proximity to the house for all our guests.

We have beautiful grounds, comprising lots of delightful nooks and crannies as well as a five a side football pitch with goals and a croquet lawn. In regard to telecoms, we have a land line which is free for essential calls as well as access to Wifi if required. There is no smoking the house that said there are designated smoking areas outside and have tried to make this comfortable and accommodating. We can arrange for deliveries and storage and Tesco and Waitrose both deliver to the House.

Wedding Venue:

There is a beautiful Church a stones throw from the House and we are also licensed to conduct civil ceremonies in the House and Grounds. The house can comfortably seat 120 guests either for the ceremony or wedding breakfast.

Conference Facilities:

We have 30 bedrooms 24 of which are en-suite with the other rooms sharing one bathroom between two - there are ample rooms and space to accommodate meeting / break out rooms. AV equipment is available.

Spa Details:

We do not have an permanent Spa however we can engage a very good outside supplier who will come to the house and treat you in the comfort of your own room.

Situated 15mins from junction 27 of the M5 motorway between Taunton and Exeter the House sits in spectacular rolling countryside on the Devon/Somerset Borders and within striking distance of regional commercial centres such as Exeter, Taunton and Bristol and well known tourist destinations including Barnstaple, Croyde, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe on the North Coast and Sidmouth, Exmouth, Teignmouth, Torquay and Paignton to the South. The House is also situated on the edge of Exmoor National Park and is an easy drive to Dartmoor.

Devon is one of the most popular destinations in the UK and has a wealth of attractions to suit every taste.
