The ultimate big house for beach-lovers, Harbour Watch has its very own private beach! This is an amazing waterside home, with its own beautiful sandy stretch at its feet, a mooring for small boats, and further beaches within walking distance.
Light airy rooms open onto a railed, ship style decking with fantastic views over the estuary, across to Salcombe and the "Bag"(a sheltered haven for all manner of yachts). Here you can spark up a barbecue, enjoy morning coffees, evening aperitifs and dining table meals, all with a changing estuary scene before you.
The house is just as dramatic inside, with a big open-plan living and kitchen area, a separate living/TV room, a wet room to get rid of salt and sand after swimming or boating, and a huge amount of glass to take advantage of the setting. The whole house is set in its own, very private and secluded mature grounds and has ample parking. From the garden, steps lead directly down to the beach allowing guests to take advantage of the low water mooring provided. Salcombe, so popular for its sailing and surf shops, pubs, restaurants and food shops, is a boat ride away.
The décor is light, airy and modern, with pale wooden flooring throughout the ground floor, white walls, a huge L-shaped leather sofa and other easy chairs and a dining table for 12. A feature gas log fire and central heating keep it cosy throughout the winter; in summer folding glazed doors open onto the decking and views.
The kitchen has exposed beams with roof skylights and is equipped with every imaginable convenience including ceramic hob, eye level grill and oven, dishwasher, microwave and an American style fridge and freezer with wine cooler as well as an island unit breakfast bar with stools.
The second, separate lounge/TV room has two sofas and a lounger, a large flatscreen TV with Freeview. At the rear is large wet room and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Also on the ground floor is a wonderful imaginative bunk room, a place where up to six children can have their own hideaway. It has two 3'; beds (which can be joined to make a double), a separate 3'; single, a suspended 3'; bed over the twin and two further bunk beds arranged in maritime style in their own recess, as well as a good sized walk in wardrobe.
Upstairs there are three large double bedrooms, two en suite, plus a family shower room. The master double has unparalleled views over the estuary.
