Happisburgh Manor is a spectacular Grade II* listed country house and a magnificent example of the Arts and Crafts movement. Built in 1900, the house consists of a central core with four wings projecting diagonally from it, which creates the optimum use of light.
This extraordinary and quite unique house boasts uninterrupted views of the Norfolk coastline, Happisburgh Lighthouse and far reaching views over the countryside. It is approached via a long avenue of oak trees and immediately on arrival you are taken in by the enormous character both of the building and its surrounding gardens.
Internally, the house has recently been totally refurbished but retains all the quirkiness you expect from an Arts and Crafts property. It now provides sumptuous living with all modern amenities available, and the location ensures privacy and peace and quiet. Happisburgh Manor offers the perfect setting for family gatherings, re-unions or simply a group of friends to relax and enjoy the surroundings and beautiful views.
Internally, the reception rooms are of a very good size with the dining room able to seat up to twenty guests. The morning room and sitting room are beautifully furnished and provide elegant but cosy surroundings. Outside, the gardens are well stocked with mixed shrubs and fruit trees and enjoy exceptional sea views.
Happisburgh Manor operates on a self catering basis but the owners are happy to recommend local catering companies and a host of other suppliers where required.
The accommodation consists of eight double/ rooms and eight bathrooms. All bedrooms are beautifully furnished and have wonderful views. Downstairs, the kitchen is modern and wonderfully equipped. The Dining Room, Morning Room and Sitting Room are equally impressive.
