Eriviat Hall

Nr Chester, Conwy, Wales

Here is a magnificent family stately home in North Wales close to Chester. You'll appreciate the grandeur from the moment you arrive at the 12 foot, automatic wrought iron gates, mounted with the Ffoulkes family crest of three boars, which represents “Welcome”!

From here you will drive towards the Hall, set in its own parkland. A pair of handsome stone lions mark the entrance, drawing you into the wood panelled hallway complete with fireplace, long case clock, crystal chandeliers and three boars & heads mounted on the wall.

Eriviat Hall is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Warm and welcoming, it offers a large group a level of comfort and elegance that's hard to beat. It's an unbeatable setting for a house party, wedding, conference or holiday.

The reception rooms (a lounge, two dining rooms and a study) are decorated with Chesterfields, family paintings and antiques, gold gilt mirrors, sparkling chandeliers, rich cushions and curtains and the occasional mounted antler. Log burning stoves can be laid, as you wish, during the winter months. There are two kitchens - a cutting edge catering kitchen with huge stainless steel surfaces and a second kitchen with a more traditional affair. Both have informal dining tables. Then there's the Orangerie with its conservatory roof and hot tub, an exciting experience after dark!

A solid oak staircase leads to the bedrooms, each one a treat in itself. Five of the ten rooms have wooden four poster king size beds; the others have sumptuous king size zip and link doubles.

Outside there are lawns and beautiful parkland to explore, a great place for walks and wellies, and for children to roam. Beyond the gates it's 20 minutes to the beach.

You'll be given the keys to Eriviat and it's yours for the duration of your stay. Enjoy!

There are two dining rooms which can be separated or joined by large oak-panelled sliding doors. The rooms have Lion King tables and chairs, handsome carved cupboards and log burning stoves.

The traditional kitchen has a large range master cooker, double Belfast sink, granite work tops and a restored Victorian black cast iron Denbigh range, which takes centre pride position. The stainless steel professional catering kitchen is more suitable for preparing large group meals quickly and efficiently.

You are guaranteed to sleep well at Eriviat Hall – the beds are generous and there are plenty of them. All are arranged over the first and second floors. The first floor sleeps 14; the second floor sleeps 8 (or 14 if you split the doubles into zip and links).

First floor: 5 Lion four poster king size beds
2 family rooms, each containing a king size four poster plus a double zip and link bed.

Second floor: 2 family rooms (2 king size zip and link beds each)

2 family rooms (3 kingsize zip and link beds between them)

The bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with Edwardian or slipper baths; LVD TVs and internet access. The five four poster rooms also have Italian marble fireplaces, wardrobes, dressing tables and desks.

The hot tub has access to a shower, towels and toilet. It's 3 x 2 metres, roomy enough to treat seven friends like royalty.

Chauffeur service by arrangement.

Helicopter bookings accepted.
