A 13th century chateau with a guest wing attached. It has been completely renovated, with a pool, tennis court and badminton court and now offers a large group of up to 16 a very comfortable base for exploring the delights of the Dordogne, of which there are many. The house stands in parkland on top of a hill and is decorated in true French country style, with flagstone floors, a painted wooden kitchen, big sofas in the sunny living room and simple, traditional bedrooms.
The accomodation comprises three bedrooms in the main house (two twins, one double, all ensuite), and in the guest wing (which is attached to the main house) a further five twin rooms and three bathrooms. All the bedrooms are restful and airy, with light-coloured bed linen, lamps and bedside tables, windows overlooking the countryside and six accompanying bathrooms.
Your guests can dine together at the large dining table in the dining/drawing room, which is an open plan space in the main house. However, in the summer the terrace is much more popular. The kitchen, like the living room, has a smooth, flagstone floor.
These focus on the active, with a tennis court in the garden, a proper badminton court in a barn, table tennis and at least ten bikes supplied (five for adults, five for children). Swimming, golf, riding, fishing and canoeing are all available nearby.
