Enjoy the full use of a 12th century medieval manor house for your holiday home this year. The perfect romantic holiday retreat for two or a family group house for up to 16. This manor once belonged to Henry VIII and now you can become lords and ladies during your stay. We welcome weekly as well as weekend breaks. The Manor was first built in the 12th century. It started out life as a grange building for a monastery. Only the eastern range was built at this time and it was probably only of two floors with a high pitched roof and a central fire on the first floor. The manor is one of the oldest properties in Wales. It was owned by the monastery until the dissolution when Henry VIII became the next owner.

Even though the manor is 800 years old we have insured your comfort. All modern facilities have been cleverly incorporated while retaining the ancient atmosphere. Whether you decide to cook or call in the caters the manor has a gourmet period kitchen with stunning facilities there is an range cooker with 4 ovens and 6 burners, an American fridge/freezer, drinks refrigerator, dishwashers, microwave, blender, toaster, kettle and automatic coffee maker, coffee press, etc.

You will find plenty of entertainment at the manor, the cosy relaxing lounges have a flat screen TV and DVD players. Sky TV in the main lounge. The internet can be accessed with our WiFi and Ethernet cables provided. An ideal selection of DVD’s, books and board games are available. All rooms have at least one thermostatically controlled radiator to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The manor has a two full bathrooms with a claw and foot bath and separate shower. The master bedrooms also have en-suite w/c’s. All our towels are of the highest quality and we only use designer sheets and covers on all our beds. We ensure that we provide only the highest standards and understand the discerning cliental would expect nothing less. The owner is always just a phone call away should you ever require any further assistance.

The Manor is located on the southern tip of the Wye-Valley, which is an area designated for its outstanding natural beauty. We are located 10 minutes from the M4 and 15 minutes from the M5 motorways. The manor is the perfect location for both outdoor sports and tourism.

Located only 20 minutes from Bristol, 30 minutes from Cardiff and 35 minutes from the ancient Roman city of Bath. You couldn’t be better located for touring both England and Wales.

Located in the lovely village of Caldicot, 100 yards from the Norman castle and its 55 acre country park. The Castle Inn is less than 100 yards from the manor, where you can enjoy a good meal and a relaxing drink.
