Established in 1970, Caer Llan is a family run, large country house venue set within 25 acres of gardens and woodland. Situated within the Wye Valley AONB near the town of Monmouth, the property features stunning scenery and far reaching views over the Monmouthshire countryside. The building has been fully refurbished to Visit Wales 5 star standards and gets very enthusiastic trip advisor write-ups from all who stay. You will get a warm and friendly welcome from the owners themselves, who lead the professional in house team that looks after all your catering and bar needs. Every group has exclusive use of the whole place so there are never any other clashing events.
The house has been remodelled with versatility in mind such that it can be set up beforehand according to the nature of your visit. The facilities are fabulous for big group celebrations, weddings or conferences. There is even a fully stocked licensed bar with a selection of draught lagers, spirits, soft drinks, wines and local ales etc. all at local pub prices and of course extended opening times.
There are three lounges with comfy chesterfield sofas, (one of which transforms into a home cinema or presentation and training room), whilst the large open plan party area is licensed for marriage ceremonies and offers dining for up to 90 guests, before being easily and quickly transformed by the in house team into a high quality disco and dance floor.
There's accommodation for up to 50 guests in 15 spacious en-suite bedrooms most of which are family rooms. The bedrooms contain versatile zip and link beds, so the rooms can be configured exactly to your requirements prior to arrival. Seven of the bedrooms are ground floor, contained within the award winning eco house extension known as the berm house. There’s a guest bedroom list to make easy work of room allocation.

For the spectating sportsperson, within 40 miles there is racing at Chepstow and Cheltenham (Gold cup festival), Golf at the Celtic Manor (Ryder Cup 2010), Cricket at Sophia Gardens (Glamorgan CC and Ashes test venue 2009), The Millennium Stadium (rugby and other events). For the golfer, there are over 10 quality 18 hole golf courses within 20 miles, including the Celtic Manor Resort.
